SENIOR RECOGNITION
Part of the Lions' final weekend at Gersten Pavilion will be Senior Night. The LMU men's basketball program will recognize a group of six seniors who will play in their final home game as a Lion against San Diego. Seniors Greg Lakey, Marcus Smith, Eurskine Robinson, Philipp Czernin, Robert Davis and Sean Mollins will wear the LMU home whites for the final time in their careers at LMU. Davis, the only three-year letterwinner on the team, left the program in 1999-00 but returned under Head Coach Steve Aggers first season. He began his career at LMU in 1998-99 as a freshman from Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, Ariz. Both Lakey and Czernin transferred to the program in 1999-00. Czernin transferred from the University of Hawaii and is from Palisades High School. Lakey, another local product from Lynwood High School, transferred after two seasons at USC. Smith, Robinson and Mollins are junior college transfers that were recruited after Aggers was hired late in the 2000 recruiting season. Smith came from Butte College and graduated from Will C. Wood High School. Robinson transferred from College of the Canyons and played with Czernin at Palisades High School. Mollins, who excelled beyond expectations as a transfer walk-on to the program, came from De Anza Junior College and is another local product, graduating from Penn High School in Redondo Beach.
