Say it ain't so, Scott!
I have highlighted in red the parts of your posts that I find particularly ridiculous. I have a question for you Scotty, you are aware that this is a sports gambling forum aren?t you? If so, are you familiar with the generally excepted rules governing sports wagering? If so, have you lost your freaking mind?
I would also like to know where in the hell you get off thinking that the bet should be cancelled or even adjusted because Scout.com changed their opinion about a player? You agreed to allow Scout?s final rankings to serve as how we would score this bet. Now that they have changed the manner in which they rank a particular player, you want out of the bet? I do not know about the sportsbook that you deal with but in my experience, once a wager is placed, you can not call up and have it cancelled simply because the conditions that you expected did not transpire. Let?s consider some examples of similar circumstances which I think bear a direct correlation to your shameless request.
Player injuries, suspensions, coaching changes, weather conditions and yes, even line movement. If any of these things occurred that were related to a game on which you had already placed a wager, would you even consider calling up your book and saying, ?You know, I had really counted on having Joe Tightend being available to play in this game but since he has been declared academically ineligible, I will either allow you cancel my bet or . . . . .?
Give me a f*cking break. That scenario is only slightly more absurd than the one that you present. Scout changed the way that they choose to rank Gable. Tough shit. It is what it is Scooter, and after the months of listening to your endless drivel about how my alma mater?s team was so much inferior to USC?s and how Mighty Pete Carroll and his Boys from Troy were invincible, I am not about to let you weasel out of this bet and frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself for even asking. I know that I have certainly lost more respect for you and at this rate, there is not much more to lose.
Believe me when I say that the last thing that I need is another Longhorn Championship cap as I have purchased at least one of every version that I have been able to find. It?s not about the hat Scott. Your display of incredibly poor sportsmanship since my Longhorns dethroned your boys from Troy has been despicable and this is just another example of that pathetic behavior.

95% probability USC lands 3 of the nations top 10 RB's. Moody is in (#10), and Johnson (#2) and Gable (#6) are silent verbals. They always can change their mind. USC also is recruiting 3 OTHER top 10 RB's who ALSO might commit. IMO Goodson is the one. That might mean Carroll gets 4 of the top 10 RB's in the country. I am betting and sticking with 3. I am game for a hat wager!
Are you? Everyone can use another new hat!![]()
According to you, it is "highly doubtful" for me to win the bet!![]()
The Judge said:You're on.
The bet is that USC will or will not sign three of the nation's top ten running backs according to Scout.com's final rankings.
Rest assured Scooter, I am ?an honorable poster? but the next post has me wondering about you:Scott4USC said:The bet is official. BUt I want to make one thing clear. If USC signs 3 or "more" of the nations top 10 RB's I win the bet. If USC signs 2 or less of the nations top 10 RB's, then YOU WIN the bet. We will go by SCOUT.COM top 10 RB's listed on the day of LOI.
Hopefully you are an honorable poster because you will lose this friendly wager!![]()

There is a problem with our hat bet. I just noticed from the link scout took GABLE off their RB list. (that is BULL$HIT) Gable committed to USC last week and SCOUT had him the #6 rated RB when we made our wager. After he publicly commits (i knew he was a silent) scout took him off the RB list and made him a safety. That is not right. You can move him down the list like they did Moody but not take him OFF the list. When we made the bet, I even mentioned GABLE at RB.
I also unfortunately just noticed Moody dropped from #10 to #12. That is valid and went in your favor. Sucks for me but those are the breaks we agreed too. Otherwise my bet be a lock which I originally thought. :mj07:
You have a decision to make. Moody dropping to #12 is valid because we agreed to go by scouts final top 10 not current top 10. But I am not going to allow scout to take away Gable being the #6 rated RB completely off their RB list.
Let me know if you want to keep the wager ON but Gable MUST be considered a top 10 RB between you and me.
Do you accept these changes to our wager or do you want to completely cancel the bet? I'll let you decide either way and I will honor either request. I need you to publicly make a statement.
You will ALLOW me to cancel the bet? In that case ALLOW me to invite you to read my mind you freaking half-wit.Scott4USC said:If I was going to welch on the bet, I would bring this up AFTER signing day to cover my a$$ and get out of it. Why would I bring it up before signing day?
I have a good argument. YOU CAN'T TAKE OFF A RB FROM THE RB LIST and change his position AFTER he commits to USC. That is bogus. Moving a RB up and down is fine. For example Moody went in Judge's favor which we agreed. But you can't take off a RB from the list. That is bull$hit.
I think JUDGE would agree. I will allow Judge to keep the BET or CANCEL the bet. It is his decision. I will honor his decision either way but GABLE must be rated top 10 RB in the country which he is.
