Brackets have not been announced yet, so what is there to talk about.

Two issues right now.

1. Who is the most nervous right now about UGA winning. If UGA holds on--and look out Arky is charging right now--who loses their bid and ends up in the NIT. My guess is that Illinois St, Ohio St and VT are the most on the edge.

2. Hey! we already got a game to cap. Coppin St vs Mt St Mary in the play in game Tuesday night. Coppin is the first 20-game loser to ever make the field, but I have a sneaky suspiciion they might be a slight favorite when the line comes out.

I think Ole Miss (and their losing conference record) will slip to the NIT with the UGA win.

I am not sure how many people would have had Ole Miss in their bracket today anyway.

What about UK. Maybe UGA bounces them. According to Lunardi, Ole Miss is not in at all, but UK is just a #10.

His last four "in" right now are Arizona, Oregon, Nova and Va Tech. Probably one of them will kicked to the curb?

After having Illinois State in his bracket all week, by the way, they are no longer part of his bracket.

I agree. They will be a tough out. They could very well be a #12 that knocks out a #5. Not your typical 12 seed with the SEC Champs.

Lunardi coming on next to offer his insights into who is getting knocked out.

Despite a strong showing in the acc tourney, I think VT should be out with only 1 or 2 wins vs. top 50 rpi.

Here are the things I am looking at as the brackets come out:

1. Missouri Valley. Does Illini St get in or does the league's multi bid run end. Given the blow out in their last showing and the events of this week, other teams have passed them as I see it. First time all week that espn projections have had them out of the field was this morning. I figured all week they were out.

2. Pac 10 will get 6, but will they get 7? Two of Oregon, AU and ASU look to be, with one out in the cold. Who will that be? Will all 3 make it? Will two get snubbed?

3. Is UK really going to make the field? What seed?

4. Butler, Drake and Xavier. Where are they seeded. These are top 10/15 teams by the pollsters eyes. But, they could become the hardest trio of #6 seeds the field will ever see. Do any of the get a favorable seed or do they get paired with a final four contender in a 2nd round matchup.

5. Villanova. They sure are getting a lot of pundit love right now. They would be the Big East's 8th team if they make it.

6. South Alabama. Its assumed the club fro the Sun Belt will get an at large. I think its 50/50 at best.

Still in shock at IU's fate.

How about the 6/11 game of USC vs KSU. Beasley vs Mayo. We could not get Oden vs Durant last year, but we'll get a showcase here.

The blame should fall squarely on the shoulders of Kelvin Sampson for disrupting the flow of a grat season, right:shrug:

I can not quibble with you there. The last month has been a very disappointing turn of events. Still thought the team would somehow rally, but they will have their hands ful with Arky.

That game will also go way over the total as well.

Butler is a No. 7 seed after winning their conference tourney, but Xavier knocked off in Altantic 10 and gets a #3 seed? WOW~!

Illinois State & Va Tech got hosed IMO. Both teams played well in their conference tournies and should have been awarded over teams that didn't like Baylor (losing to #12 seed should eliminate you!)

Billy Packard has to be thrilled the Mo Valley got hosed. A couple years ago he was pissed they got so many teams in the tourney, but they played well in the Big Dance.

I'm shocked Ohio State was left out in the cold, but they didn't deserve a spot. The Big 10 was pathetic this season. I would rather watch paint dry than see the Big 10 tourney again.

I still feel like Va Tech deserved a spot for nearly upsetting UNC and pounding Miami. They were one of the best 65 teams at the end of the season.

have to disagree with you on VT. They needed the win against NC to be considered.
