Getting back to the news...this is an awesome fight to show the fans what mma is all about. Pretty amazing the UFC put this on national TV! I can't wait to see Dos Santos/Velasquez.

The only other fight that might be a better option is Bones Jones against Anderson Silva. Bones is going to be champ for a long time. I think he would maul Silva but it would be fun while it lasted. Maybe silva would get a limb and twist it off or land a sneaky KO but it would be fun to watch.
Anyway, not sure what the rest of the FOX card will be but it should be a good way to launch.

kudos to white for looking at the bigger picture....

he won`t be getting a big ppv payday off dos santos/velasquez,but he`s providing a much bigger audience with about as high profile an event as possible.....

smart...verrrry smart...

I must be the only one unhappy about this on here. I was set to go to the San Jose event in November but now the title fight is moved and, as of now, I can't get that weekend off

Unless the San Jose card has a good replacement I wont be going:sadwave:

sorry bud...if i were you i`de be disappointed,too...i was just saying that i think that it was a good move to promote the ufc product to as large(and potentially new) audience as possible...

they will advertise this out the ying yang and will probably get a very large newbie audience watching for the very first time....bolstering their fan base and leading to even larger ppv/gear/peripheral sales down the road....

curious to see if they go balls to the wall for the televised undercard...

Yeah from a business point of view it is probably the best choice they could have made. Hopefully new fans tune in and Cain and JDS become bigger stars

I find it funny how some forget what Sonnen did to him.

What's funny is that you're willing to use a cheater as evidence but with everyone else you call them out and say they shouldn't be in the UFC when they cheat. He cheated vs Anderson and still couldn't beat him but yet you're throwing it out there. Worst example you could have used IMO.

But how can we really believe you when you say that? It means nothing when you turn around and TOTALLY give Sonnen a reach around and applaud him for "toying Anderson for 4.5 rounds."

Like always, you pick and choose what you want to say, how you want to say it, from one instance to another. You always walk around in cirlces.

Sonnen toyed with Anderson for 4.5 rounds.

Nobody would argue that.

Was it all because he "cheated".......well guess we will see when they fight again.

If Sonnen gets by Stann they will fight. But the Stann fight won't be easy.

bucs....if you knew how to read then it would make things easier for you.

dickserv

ran in circles with my post. i said you applaud him for toying with anderson(because you're so biased). anderson had broken ribs and fought a fighter who was on roids and cheated. yet, all you will draw from the fight is Anderson got toyed with. you won't actually acknowledge any true facts.

i'm just gonna drop it, cuz you're like arguing with a retard.

Just the style to beat Aldo. Has really nice hands and neutralizes kicks like nobody I ever saw. This isn't Hominic who couldn't stop a kick if I threw it. Pearson neutralized two of the best kickers in the UFC in Siver and Barbosa. Wish they give him a title fight right away instead of watching a world class wrestler stop him from getting there. Again how in the world did a red hot Pearson lose to Cole Miller? Something had to be up in that fight. Was Pearson injured trhat fight
