NORTHEASTERN over *Hofstra...In rematch of Hofstra?s close 70-65 win in Boston Jan. 26, don?t mind giving combative NE a shot at revenge. After all, not sure Pride can again rely on G Agudio (scored 32 in first meeting) to pull out another win by himself, and expect Huskies to shoot a bit better than subpar 35% from floor in first meeting. NE brimming with confidence after recent road sweep at Delaware & Drexel, when Huskies turned screws defensively (allowed mere 29% FGs combined two games!).
NORTHEASTERN 64 - *Hofstra 58 RATING - 10

*OKLAHOMA STATE over Baylor...Young but improving OSU struggles mightily on the Big XII road. But the Cowboys have developed depth and balance that allows them to take care of business vs. most foes at home. Thus, expect a solid reversal of OSU?s 79-71 loss Jan. 15at Waco. This time, promising Cowboy frosh F. James Anderson should double his 11-point output at Baylor and emerging soph F Muonelo should play more assertively, while rugged PG Eaton & defensive ace Dove lead the way in Stillwater.
*OKLAHOMA STATE 76 - Baylor 62 RATING - 10

Game: Washington Capitals at Atlanta Thrashers Feb 13 2008 7:05PM
Prediction: under

Reason: The Capitals have played under the total in 6 of their last 8 games vs. Eastern Conference opponents. The under is 5-1 in their last 6 vs. a team with a losing record. Atlanta has played the under in 8 of their last 10 games. The Thrashers last 4 games have gone under the total. The under is 6-1 in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference opponents. The under is 5-0 in Washinton's last 5 trips to Atlanta. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings overall between the clubs. Play the under.

Game: William & Mary vs. NC-Wilmington

Time: 7:00 PM EST.

Line: NC-Wilmington -6.5

Rating: TWO-Star

Selection: NC-WILMINGTON -6.5

Analysis:

Trask Coliseum has been the site of five straight wins both straight up and against the number by Wilmington. William & Mary will attempt to break that trend today but they will find it to be tough going as UNCW has developed a decent inside presence with C Kuljanin and this opens up the floor for their guards Carter, Tomko and Fountain. Like most teams Wilmington plays better at home and they will take advantage of their new found ability to play an inside out scheme on the offensive end of the floor. We expect UNCW to be able to control both the tempo and pace of this contest and get the win here even a possible double-digit affair. UNCW coming in off a win now installed as a home favorite they are 34-19-1 ATS. If they won ATS in their last game and are now a favorite in the 3 to 7 price range they are 15-3 ATS. UNCW is 11-0-1 ATS if they won at home in their last game and are now a conference favorite of 3 to 7 points. William & Mary coming off a SU loss in their last game now involved in a game with a line range of 3 to 7 points they are 10-22-1 ATS, if they are playing on the road the record falls to 1-8 ATS their last 9. UNCW qualifies in one of our angles that tells us to play on a team that went over the total in their last game and are now installed as a conference home favorite of 3 to 7 points these teams are 161-115-4 ATS.

The Tigers played solid in their first game without John Brady as coach, as they nearly stunned Tennessee in a 47-45 defensive contest. We don't see a reprise tonight against the Gators, as Florida can light up the scoreboard on you in a hurry.
The Gators stand at 15-1 straight up at home, and they have gone 5-2 against the spread in games played at the O-Dome. Billy D's team is also a solid 7-3 against the spread their last 10 games, and they have covered the spread in 10 of their last 13 versus the SEC.
The Tigers meanwhile have dropped 10 of their last 11 games straight up, and they are just 4-6 against the spread on the road this season.
Play on the Gators to open this one up big!

Mountain West Conference college battle tonight as we've got a FREE play on San Diego State as the Aztecs host New Mexico.
The Lobos are just a one of the worst road teams you're going to find in college basketball and while San Diego State isn't the greatest team in the Mountain West Conference, they will deliver us a winning ticket in this one.
New Mexico has just gotten drilled the last two times they've hit the road, losing at New Mexico 79-60 as a 5 1/2-point 'dog and at BYU 83-66 as a 6 1/2-point pup. The Lobos are 4-5 overall on the road but the wins came early in the season and not against conference competition.
The Aztecs have been getting the job done at home, winning four of their five conference games in front of the home fans (3-2 ATS). Last time out at home was Feb. 6 when they played an ugly one against the Air Force, winning 49-38 as 10-point favorites.
San Diego State has won three of the last four at home over the Lobos and they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday tip-offs.
New Mexico State is just not a good team and the Aztecs have to get this one to remain in the top three in the league. Play San Diego State tonight and watch as they deliver a good 7-10 point win.

Game: Duquesne at Dayton Feb 13 2008 7:00PM
Prediction: Dayton

Reason: Play On: Dayton
Note: After opening the season at 14-1 the Flyers blew a propeller and leveled out. They now look to regain their lofty status during the stretch drive of conference play and Duquesne looks to be the perfect flight partner. The visitors bring a winning record into today's game, which equates to value in this play. A closer look at the Dukes finds then 0-5 SU against winning teams since Game Seven this season. The series has been all Dayton, who despite last year?s loss, is 16-2 SU & 11-5-2 ATS aganst Duquesne, including 8-4-1 ATS at Dayton Arena. Look for the Flyers to take flight once again tonight. KEY STAT: Dayton is 3-0 SU & ATS with revenge against Duquesne.

Jim Feist

(503) MEM Grizzlies and (504) PHI 76ers

Take "Under"

The hottest team in the East? Philadelphia is red hot, on a 4-0 SU/ATS run, and it's been because of defense, allowing 80, 84 and 76 points the last three games -- all under the total. Memphis just traded away its best offensive player for (chuckle) Kwame Brown. They've failed to top 100 points in 4 straight. In fact, they are on an 8-3 run under the total.

Play the Grizzlies/76ers under the total

Dave Cokin

(581) Missouri and (582) Nebraska

Take "(582) Nebraska"

Missouri now has just one route to the NCAA Tournament and that's through the conference tourney. The Tigers are not good on the road and they're struggling right now. Nebraska already beat the Tigers in Columbia and they're a good bet to score the series sweep with the win and cover this evening.

RON McCOY

Take Cleveland Cavaliers

Wednesday a road weary Spurs limp into Cleveland and expect an easy victory over the tema they defeated in the NBA Championship last year. OK maybe they won't limp in but it is not the team of last year with Parker out. Cleveland is not much better with their injuries but they proved to Orlando and the rest of the world they are not out of this yet. Expect a fired up Larry Hughes and LeBron James to upset the Spurs today.

BRIAN GABRIELLE

Take Alabama Crimson Tide

Ole Miss is 1-4 as the visitor and Alabama is 10-6 at home. The Rebels are ranked 251 in defense which does not help their road game. In the past 6 weeks the Rebels have played 4 games on the road and lost all four. The Crimson Tide are coming off recent home wins over Auburn and LSU.

Take the side on Alabama.

Selection: Minnesota -4.5 (-110)

Today Illinois will be on the road as they take on Minnesota. We will lay the points with Minnesota! The Minnesota offense should be able to control this game from start to finish. Minnesota (at home) is scoring an average of 73.8 points per game, while Illinois (on the road) is scoring an average of only 60.6 points per game. That means the Minnesota offense is scoring an average of 13.2 points per game more then the Illinois offense. It's also good to note that the favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these teams. Lay the points! Take Minnesota -4.5!

MATT RIVERS

For Wednesday take the points at home with Texas Tech

This really is a huge game for Pat Knight and his Texas Tech Red Raiders. The team has dropped the first two games after Bobby Knight quit but neither loss was really a surprise as they were on the road against solid competition in Baylor and Nebraska. Now at home Tech needs to establish something and prove how the program is just not all of a sudden going to turn to crap.
Michael Beasley is an absolute stud and the Wildcats have been extremely surprising and very very good this season but the road is never easy and I'll take a few points or so back with a Tech team that does have an upside. These guys have won six straight at home and have covered all seven line games in Lubbock. Beating Texas A&M, Missouri and Oklahoma State and covering against Stanford in a one point loss is not that shabby at all. This should be another game where the Raiders are able to control pace at home and prove they are better than the oddsmaker seems to be giving them credit for when on their home court.
This game will be hard fought but after seeing Kansas State implode on the highway a few weeks ago against a beat up Missouri team combined with Tech's success at home definitely has me all over this home dog.

Karl Garrett

Going to go with the underdog Badgers who are coming off that stunning home court loss this past Saturday to Purdue. Wisconsin was able to bottle up Indiana in a 62-49 win and cover back on January 31st for their third win in the last five games in this rivalry.
No doubt the Hoosiers have been playing top-flight hoops right now, and they do sport a modest 3 game winning streak as they take to the court tonight. Problem is, Indiana is just 4-6-1 against the spread at home this season, while Wisconsin has been able to cover 5 of 8 on the road this year.
The Badgers defense gives them a chance in any game they play, and the fact Wisconsin is catching a few baskets in this one makes the propostion even better.
G-Man says to grab the points and play the Badgers in this Big 10 tilt!

New Mexico vs. San Diego State (NCAAB) - Feb 13, 2008 11:00 PM EST
Play: New Mexico

LOBOS LOBOS LOBOS - We love the revenging New Mexico squad tonight as the Lobo's just pounded Wyoming and Colorado State the last 2 games. We have a Lobo's team that is leading the WAC in 3-point shooting and we will play on a J.R. Giddens led squad to blow out the Aztecs tonight. New Mexico by Double Digits.
