I just sent an email to our casino host (I guess that's what she is) asking if the hotel or golf course had transportation for groups of 30 or so.

She replied that they do not, unfortunately, would I like her to refer me to a private company.

I replied, okay, but does she have a ballpark on the price before I call them.

This was her reply:

Probably around $500.00-600.00 :scared

WTF?

That can't be right.

Offer still stands from me to take to and from the course. I should have a tahoe which will seat a bunch. I'll just need to know in advance since I'm not playing Friday so I don't get involved in other casino activities.

Why couldn't you also call a cab for 3 or 4 guys to split if it comes down to it?

Count me in. What about clubs? Maybe I better not drink.

I doubt there are cabs in that area out in the sticks.

I thought you were playing poker Friday?? If you're at the golf course, I'll give you a ride back. I'm also thinking clubs should just be left at the course for the next morning. That will save a ton of hassle. I'll also drop Joker off, and he can ride back to. Anybody else that can fit is also welcome.

I am playing Friday now so count me in for a round trip if that's okay with you.

Man Takes Out Second Mortgage For Son's Fifth Birthday

Shawna Walters Kemp
February 17th 2009

Jim Palto Sr. was shocked at the amount of money needed to have a birthday party for his son and twelve friends. "I was told the amount would be way more than I could afford." Not that Palto Sr. is earning a below average income or anything. "Being a CPA for a law firm is a good living, but I guess it isn't that good." Palto Sr. visited PNC Bank last Monday and took out a second mortgage to pay for the $1700 tab it took to pay for the birthday party. "The second mortgage was for $3800 as I had to pay off a credit card debit incurred from his 4th birthday party last year at Showbiz Pizza. I thought they were expensive.
