Site load speed

We had a fair amount of traffic last night and the site was fast for me. Did anybody experience slow loading of pages?

Tonight between 7pm and 830pm eastern will be a nice test but the real test will be Saturday and Sunday. I'm on the optimistic side that the slow loading is finally fixed. I hope I didn't jinx it.

Try to be specific. When does it lag? When posting, when checking for new posts, clicking on a thread, clicking on the forums?

Three days ago it would lag when clicking on "new posts" or clicking on a thread from the main page. But since then I have had zero issues with the website, it seems lightning quick now.

That's how it's going for me too. I was surprised to hear T was still having problems. I need feedback from people in order to get this straightened out. Thanks.

5-10 seconds is a long time.

I'm going to show this thread to my webhost if I get enough replies. About the only lagging I might get now is when I click on the last post of a long thread of multiple pages.

I use Chrome and I have read about some other browser issues with this software but I never really paid much attention to it.

This problem has been bugging the hell out of me to the point of....

AND.....the software people blame the hosting company and the hosting company blames the software. And here I am right in the middle translating what one says to the other and.......like I said, driving me nuts.

One solution is to move the site to the software people and let them host the forum. But, they don't allow addons to the software and I have quite a few. Anything goes wrong, they blame the addons. Not only that but the regular/other non forum pages they wouldn't host so I'd have to use TWO hosting companies. OH, and the links get messed up so the search feature gets all fucked up then too.

OR, I can spend a lot of money for a bigger, badder, monster of a server with my present host but what if that doesn't solve the issue? And why would I need a bigger badder server if the site was working just fine after week 1 NFL up until last week? Why was it working then and not now?

And NOBODY will talk on the phone so I have to send text tickets/emails and some other tech might grab the email and that tech doesn't know what the fuck is going on and does something stupid. OR, he says the site is working fine. Yeah right!

Good. I wish more people would chime in because it's important that I know these things. People usually only chime in when we are having problems but the problems are being worked on and costing me money if it's not really necessary. I'd like for the troubles to be behind me once and for all.

I have a little lag when clicking on a thread but nothing to bother me too much. Especially a thread with lots of replies. Other than that it's been fine for me.
