after a strong finish to end up the French Open at +849 units (shut up, kick), it's time for some grass action.

alex bolt +1.5 sets (+110) 2 units
bolt/ruud over 40.5 games 2.2 to win 2

if you're not familiar with bolt's story at wimbledon... he just missed out on qualifiers and was sitting down to eat on the wimbledon grounds at 10:50, when he got a call that someone had dropped out and he was playing. at 11:00. well, he stormed through qualies, including coming back from 2-0 in the finals. he's probably going to crush ruud, who isn't great on grass. but i'm too much of a coward to call for the outright win.

felipe meligeni rodrigues alves (+140) 6 units. another qualifier playing someone who is not strong on grass. if you wanna get crazy, i like FMRA (-1.5 sets) at +255.
FMRA 1st set (+115) 2 units

mannarino (+140) 2 units. it's not often mannarino is the youngest guy on the court, and he's not in the best of form, but i'll take a shot at +140. monfils will probably be disqualified after a few yellow cards for flopping.
mannarino/monfils exactly 3 sets (+160) 1 unit. purely a hunch.

mensik/bublik 1st set over 10.5 games (+190) 1 unit

virtanen (+125) 4 units. another qualifier who i think is gonna keep rolling in the first round.

nothing yet on the ladies side.

Well if that were true he would have ben totally fucked. Wimbledon qualies are played in Roehampton which is about a 20 minute drive (with no traffic) away from Wimbledon.

Rules state that if you are an Alternate in a Grand Slam qualies, you must sign in 1 hour before play commences and you must be on site.

Valentin Vacherot pulled out of Wimbledon qualies and Bolt got in, and what is even more amazing is that Bolt was actually the 2nd Alternate and he still got in. It rare to have one person pull out of qualies, but two pulled out, which is super rare, Bolt sure got lucky, and he took advantage of that luck.

Bolt went from making zero dollars to about 76 grand (if he loses 1st round), not bad at all.

By the way Wimbledon has the record for the longest run made by a qualifier (men singles), if anybody on here can tell me who it is, you'll get an all expenses paid trip to Pyongyang, North Korea or Mogadishu, Somalia, winners choice.

Speaking of qualifiers....

Wesley Moodie (who played at NAIA school Auburn University at Montgomery) and Stephen Huss (who played at Auburn) won the Wimbledon Doubles as qualifiers in 2005. And on top of that they were Alternates, they only got into the qualifying draw 45 minutes before play started. And to make it even crazier, they didn't even know one another, and they never even played against one another. They then teamed up together won 9 straight matches and won Wimbledon. One of the craziest pro tennis stories ever😲

Yep, amazing how life works out sometime, all came down to luck, and they took advantage of that luck.

Little side-note to Wesley Moodie and Stephen Huss.....they actually didn't like one another, which even makes it even a better story. That is why after Wimbledon they never played together again. Throughout their magical Wimbledon run they discovered that they were playing with an asshole:ROFLMAO: It is just a crazy story all around. If Hollywood made a movie about it, nobody would think it was real, but it happened.

With that said, I'd play with Hitler if it meant I won a Grand Slam, so fuck it, who cares if your doubles partner is an asshole or not:LOL:

Oh and I once played Mixed Doubles with a stuck up bitch, she was a terrible human being, but she was hot as fuck, so I let it slide. And true story, we made it all the way to the final (we got destroyed in the final). I think we won like 2 grand or something like that. And she tried to steal my share, and she almost got away with it. Thankfully I got my money, but that's what I get for playing with a super hot bitch. Karma caught up with her though, years and years later she got caught milking rich dudes out of their money. She served I think like 3 years in Prison or something like that.

Well nobody answered, so nobody won the trip, the answer is.......

Qualifier Vladimir Voltchkov made it all the way to the semi finals in 2000 (lost to Pete Sampras in straight sets). And in 1977, qualifier John McEnroe made it to the semi finals losing to Jimmy Connors.

if this isn't a movie with... what's her name... zendeya? meh, that's not quite right... anyway, if it's not a movie with her, then it didn't happen.
