We adopted a rescue dog from the Pets Alive of Austin yesterday . Its a mutt with 3 legs. It was going to be euthanized but Pets Alive rescued her from South Texas and put her in an adoption family. Then my wife adopted it and they delivered her to our house. She is 7 years old and was hit by a car . She had her front leg amputated ,they took out 4 lower teeth, fixed her and put a chip in her. She had been at the adoption place for 4 months here in Austin and my wife somehow got connected with her Kayak and hiking buddies with Pets Alive and we now have her. Today we have to buy some kind of harness to give her some support with her missing front leg. We are trying to come up with a name for her and my wife has vetoed everyone of my suggestions Trifecta was my favorite since she has 3 legs but thats out. Trixie is another one Nortons wife on the TV show Honeymooners. My daughters boyfriend said " Lucky " since she escaped death row for dogs . I'm leaning towards that one If anyone has a suggestion Something with 3 or something missing one. We have to order a harness to walk her because she keeps falling on her face. She is just learning how to walk with one front leg.. anyway
Tenn -5.5 over South Carolina **
North Texas +2.5 over FAU **
UConn -5 over Marquette ***
Marq missing Kolek tonite and to me he is one of the top players in the country. Conn on fire
SMU -12 over ECU ****
Think Mustangs after getting beat by UTSA the other nite beat them by 11 on the road SMU has lost a few in a row and ECU just lost to North Texas 2 nites ago by 84-69 in Denton Think SMU has a lot to play for ,a lot more then ECU . I do not like the SMoo coach Lanier but think he has more talent and playing at home ..what scares me is that SMoo can't shoot FT's and ranked around 312th in the country. If ECU is behind with a few minutes left they will foul.. So backdoor scares me but hopefully Mustangs are way ahead so charity line won't be a factor. Lanier is a terrible coach but Smoo almost beat OU last week so maybe he has them playing a little better.

I like TRIFECTA BOX! Tri box for short! Fits both of you well! Give it a swing with the wife--Maybe she'll bite. GOOD LUCK PS-Great job adopting the rescue. Look me up if ever in the burgh. Mark

How is she 7 years old, and not have a name, (previous) to your rescue?

thanks guys I forgot to mention she is 90% deaf and her name was Dannaile So unless she can read lips I think we can make up our own name unless she can read lips. Think " lucky " is winning but I'm still going for Trifecta.. The problem is my wife doesn't know what a trifecta is. I told her its a horse race where you bet the top 3 horses in order and they come in But that didn't impress her Will keep you updated on the final name My bad about SMU tonite

Gotta think Peg could be in the running, but that's a bit too obvious, isn't it?

As far as name goes I would say " Trips "

Funny, I have 2 dogs, Ace and Jack... we got a third and, of course, named her 'Trips.' We ended up having to give her to friends of ours (but that's a whole nother story)
