I don't lose a lot of big plays, so sorry for those that followed. Have to give the US and Arena some credit, they came in with a game plan and executed it very well. They frustrated Mexico for sure, but the Mexican effort was less than stellar. Mexican coach will have to stop making so many changes if they are going to compete at an elite level. This one hurt, but we move on.

Good call on the Pens Kid. That line move was crazy.

My bonus play is Ov63 in the first quarter tonight. This line is ridiculous for a first quarter but the totals have been 65, 74, 71 and 82 in the first four games. The first game even went over this total and both teams started slow in that one. I think the first total was 53 and it has gone up every game. Not sure they can set it high enough. I will tempt fate once again and play the over. Been great for me so far, of course I lost all those winnings yesterday!!

Love those first quarter overs. Wish there was another game.

Two small friendlies for today.

Chile -140 and France -120.

Confederation's Cup

Chile -160. This is on Sunday, but putting it in now as I like the line. It should go up and be -1. Chile has brought their A team and should take care of Cameroon. I like Chile to win the tournament. They can score on anyone.

I like Russia on Saturday in the opener just waiting to see where the line settles, but they should easily take New Zealand, which is the worst team in the tournament. Will also be watching Germany line on Monday as I like them over Australia. Germany has sent their B-/C team to this tournament, but they are all younger hungry players. I think they will be better than people think.

Agree totally with Bason about Chile.. it Mexico is bringing a strong squad. Want to do a future of 1 team from each group so this works out... can Portugal relive is euro magic?

Russia FH 3.9* to win 3*
Chile 18* to win 10*

Futures to win the cup
Chile 3* to win 9*
Mexico 2* to win 18*

Locking down Russia -1.5 -120. I have watched the last couple New Zealand matches and they do not look very good at all. Lots of pressure on Russia to perform well and this is a perfect opening match for them. I expect them to impress. Added a little more to Chile last night at -170, see -185 this morning.

I hate playing on a host in a big opening cup match. Something about the pressure to perform in front of their countrymen always seems to get to them and inevitably the match is much closer than it should be. Just my 2 cents, but I do agree New Zealand is in for some trouble this tournament. Maybe I will fade them in their second game.

I agree on Chile. Played them at +250 to win the whole tournament. 4x to win 10x. GL

Don't necessarily disagree DZ, but this is not the WC. This is New Zealand's fourth trip to this tournament and they have lost 8 out of 9 with one draw against Iraq. I like the new Russian coach who has finally gotten rid of some of the older players and has gone with younger hungry ones. This is as much of a play against New Zealand, who has 3rd division talent, as it is a play for Russia. Will likely play the first half also per Kid's plays. Not as strong as Chile, but I still like it.

U21 Euros

Poland +125. Like this price for the home team. It is a must win game for them if they are to advance as England and Sweden are better than Slovakia.

Tomorrow

Serbia +.5 +110. Portugal getting too much respect here. Serbia won the U20 back in 2015 and have many of the same players. They should give Portugal all they can handle. Draw is a possibility here also.

Spain/Macedonia Un 3 -135. Total is inflated as Spain are huge favorites. However, Macedonia has only given up 4 goals in their last 12 matches and have 7 clean sheets, including 5 in a row. They won their qualifying group that included France and the last time that played a game with over 3 goals was a 2-2 draw against France in 2015. They have many senior level players on this team. Spain is the much better team and they certainly could win 3 or 4 to nil, but I will take my chance with a strong defensive and highly motivated Macedonia team.

All of these plays are on the smaller side as I have not had a chance to see much action between the teams. I will be watching all the matches so may have some larger plays as the tournament progresses.

I have had enough of the U21 already. Tough to bet on teams you have not seen play. I would stay away from my 3rd play and focus on the Confederation plays. Russia was dead on today and I expect Chile to be also tomorrow. I am adding a FH play to Chile.

I do not like much in the Mexico/Portugal game but I will play the draw for some action. Both these teams know they can easily handle New Zealand (they are terrible) and think they can get a result against Russia, so a draw for them is the safe play for them both to advance.

I have been watching this game a long time and I can say for certain that video replay will ruin this game. Now they can call offsides by the smallest of margins on a goal that you could only see with super slow motion, but penalties and handballs will still be subjective (like the penalty that should have been called yesterday and wasn't). Review refs will be more apt to call an offsides than say the ref missed a penalty because the reviewer is a ref. Refs will now get lazy also on penalty calls since they know it will be reviewed, just like the NFL. I already hate this system with a passion.

I have been saying this for many years, but they need to change the offsides rule so that it is the whole body so it is much easier to call. This will eliminate a ton of confusion and open up the game.

Thanks Johnny. Confederations cup has been very good so far.

I do not like today's game that much. Germany is the better the team, but Australia can play. I will make a small play on the over 3 -110 with the hope that Australia scores 1. Small action play.

+412.9* after these. Can't believe Chile FH didn't win..

I could go on a HUGE soapbox here but I'll simply say this... I HATE replay in all sports especially soccer.. I agree that if they continue this is will Be the downfall. I know lots disagree but missed/wrong calls have been part of sports forever..
