That game was nuts last night. Looked like a South American match.

The referee was completely out of his league and is to blame for a lot of what happened. Get used to it for the Gold Cup. Most of these refs have no business being on the same field with the US and Mexico.

I liked the US spirit last night. Good to see them playing with emotion. I was impressed with Yedlin who has gotten an attitude. Like having a more experienced player take charge out there. Kind of like Jermaine Johnson used to do. Mckennie was fantastic as was Gio. Teams will continue to focus on Pulisic so the other have to be good. I continue to be impressed with Sargent. He hustles more than any #9 you will see. His goals will come, but his is becoming the striker the US needs.

Now, while there was some good, there was some bad. I like Tim Ream, but his days on the national team should be over. He was terrible last night. As bad as he was, McKenzie was even worse. He looked lost half the time and was timid almost the whole game. He gave them the first goal and was responsible for the handball even though there was not much he could do. Neither should be on this team. They have to get the back line in order. They are loaded in the midfield and up front. If they get the defense in shape they will finally be a strong team.

Agree with almost all this. That turnover 90 seconds in was criminal.

Mexico should have also had a 2nd yellow in extra time

Not Tim's fault he was asked to play right back. That was a Jurgen-esque decision. Defense just needs time together and it was great to see how much it meant to Pulisic and McKennie (whose lack of tracking back lost the last Gold Cup). I'm so excited we're going to win 2026 world cup!!

I definitely agree that he was out of position, but his lack of speed was definitely exposed. I just think the younger guys need a better look and that they will prove to be a better option.

Definitely the most talent the US has ever had. Actually it is not even close. I am still up in the air about Berhalter as I really do not think he has the talent or experience to properly coach this team, but will give him a break for now.
