:0008:toast: maybe only thing better that could have happened on the Rangers game would to have been there in person. Well done!
No doubt. Right before kickoff the 3 way line was -130. I dont Get it , absurd line . Should have been -250 .. at least -200 at the very least. But def not complaining. Allowed for bigger wins on other bets within that game

Good luck this year Kid. Have a feeling your girls will be in Hershey once again. I will be following as usual.

Positive and negatives here bason. After 30 years the Piaa moved the finals from Hershey to Cumberland valley high school. Cumberland valley has to be the richest high school in pa. Hershey has the destination and it’s a world wide known city but the facilities were awful. The locker rooms at the stadium were dilapidated . Cumberland valley is on 20 mins away but the nostalgic factor of throwing Hershey chocolate in field after winning state semis will be hard to replace

this is the first time in my time at Avonworth that we don’t have a keeper who is varsity ready. Lost our 4 year starter and we are very very raw and that could be trouble. Playing our possession style and using keeper to keep possession and playing back may have to change or we will get out moneys worth making it work if possible. We also recruited a basketball player who is 5’11 who is very athletic and aggressive to come try out Monday . She played pickup on Tuesday with us and did ok. We’ll have to see how things go

2 scrimmages are 20 and 24 and for the first time ever we have 2 games (conference games ) before our Labor Day tournament and of course the first game of the year is north Catholic. They got a new coach, crazy story but the lady last year after semi final loss ghosted the team after that game and the girls never heard from
her and she went to butler high school which is a good quad A school. Anyhow the new coach is the jackass sharpless dad. His second daughter graduated last year and his 3rs daughter will be a freshman this year. We’ve had run ins in the past when the first daughter played at freedom high school and he was an assistant.

Labor Day tournament as always we scheduled 3 playoff teams from AAA and AAAA as we always do to test ourselves early against great completion.

this years teams are gateway, south fayette, and bethel park. We’re playing gateway first round then the winner or loser depending on our result.

here’s schedule as an fyi

Baso , also wanted to mention our freshman last year who was ranked 14 in country is now number 8 and she was just in Portland for a week with the top 50 ECNL players in the country and was in the showcase game. Truly excited stuff, on June 15th next year her phone will be blowing up from college coaches. North Carolina and Florida st want her bad. Stanford also very interested among 50+ high D1 schools

Interesting, Cumberland Valley is a massive school. Probably better for the actual game experience, but going to Hershey was part of the fun.

Is she playing for the U17 national team? Having a player like that is always a lot of fun because you get a full window into the real recruiting process. It can get tiring, but it is very cool. Hopefully she has a good head on her shoulders so she can block all the BS out. At that level, she can go anywhere she wants. When I helped with my Dad's players I always leaned towards getting the best education possible. Very hard to ignore Stanford if they come calling!! Also, I hope she stays there as I am sure the privates are all over her also.

She is the most modest down to earth girl I’ve ever known. I’ve know her since she was born. She’s just a normal laid back no ego girl which is just amazing. She was raised perfectly and just is such a joy to be around. I cant Express how perfect a student athlete she is. Everyone will know her name from madjacks when she’s known nationwide. She won’t be leaving us trust me, her dads on the coaching staff for years. Lol

she was on the U16 national team, I’m not sure that situation right this second to be completely honest but I feel in my heart she’ll be a professional player. She’s that good, i see It daily And you know , when you see someone who is just different you know it .

the one thing we have being a public school is a greet culture and players seem to love the family setting we have set over the years. Parents, families all love the experience the girls have and we do more than coach. Each year as a team we read a book together over the course of the year where each player reads a chapter in front of the team. The books are always about positivity, culture etc . Life lesson are huge with us
