I thought about applying for SS Disability having had 5 surgery's in the last 3 years.. The next surgery on my Right Knee will be a total replacement. After talking with an Attorney, he said my chances were not good. Also learned it wiill take18 Months too find out, one way or another. After working & paying taxes for the last 40 years I was not surprised to find out where I stood with MY GOVERNMENT. My next plan of attack is this...I will go to Mexico. enter the USA illegally & identify myself as an alien seeking assilum. Then MY GOVERNMENT will provide me with a cedit card. cell phone, put me up in a 5 star Motel and fly me anywhere I want to go in the USA.

When I was finally granted 100% disability from the Air Force I applied for SSDI and I must of been the one lucky guy that week, I applied the day after I got my military disability and the next month I had SSDI as well.....I fought tooth and nail and it was a long fight I got out in 1984 and they back payed me for almost 35 years so I was blessed in more ways than one.
I put the claim in back in the mid 80s and thats when it starts if you ever get approved and I had to finally get a lawyer after my 5th time in the hospital for the same PTSD but that time I was sent to the Cleveland VA Hospital and the team there is who really got the ball rolling for me to get disability I basically had wrote it off as I will never get it but after 62 days in there I was on my way. I was very lucky I am sure of that
One more thing I thought no way I get paid from the beginning but while I was in the hospital another vet that came in to group got a 6 figure settlement while I was there so I really got my hopes up then and it still took another 2 years before they approved me not to mention several hearings and appts with their doctors
You can't see the forest for the trees. All the stuff that you think is so easy for everyone else to get is not that easy.....for anyone. Turn off Fox News and maybe you'll stop feeling like such a victim, Punkin.

Forget about me but we have Veterans, you know the Men & Women who fought for OUR Freedom, who are penniless & sleeping in the streets. Now ya'll can spin this fact anyway you want but giving the illegal aliens whatever & putting them ahead of our Veterans is just...WRONG.

Which party wants to help the homeless vets and which one doesn't? It's not just the homeless vets either. John Stewart had to shame the shit out of our Republican Congressman to help provide benefits for those first responders disabled during 9/11. Oh, you're dying a slow death from burn pit exposure while serving our military, our Republicans in Congress would like to award you their middle finger.
