Looks like Al Franken is going to go down. I didn't expect this to happen but this is a HUGE victory and will help defeat some of the welfare coalition's plans in the next 2-4 years.

Will be interesting to see if Republicans play hard ball in the Senate or cave. In two years it will be a huge Republican gain in the House and Senate, so treading water for 2 years will be a big deal.
Yes, that freak Al Franken being defeated is a HUGE victory!
Those 'welfare coalition' folks will just have to wait for a few years.
Stevens has an outside shot in Alaska. Best case scenario is he wins and somehow Palin gets in there.
When you're banking on a convicted felon to make the senate filibuster proof, you might need to re-think your priorities.
Looks like it will be 42 votes. With the 2 socialist Republicans from Maine, it will be hard to filibuster. We need Gordon Smith to pull it out in Oregon but it looks like he will lose. Stevens has an outside shot in Alaska. Best case scenario is he wins and somehow Palin gets in there.
Filibustering the defeat of a National Civilian Armed Forces (aka Brownshirts) is a pretty huge victory IMO.
I'm banking on him hopefully winning and inevitably getting booted and replaced.
Don't know what the NCAF(aka brownshirts) is, but how Franken is even close to becoming a senator is baffling.
You must not have researched our President elect Obama.
Stevens has no chance...if he had been smart he would have said if he wins he will resign but he was too greedy for that...ironically even though he would seem to be guilty most legal observers think his conviction will get tossed on appeal
