Uh yes. There were alot of problems with the case and the case of the star witness. if you were (a) a lawyer and (b) had a clue about this or than the usual shoot from the hip partisanship you would know what I was talking about . I have no doubt he did it but he has an excellent chance of a reversal on appeal. But that would be far down the road if it happened and he would get kicked out of the Senate on ethics grounds even if he wins tonight. Pushing for his trial before the election was just stupid - he would ahve won.

what exactly is he trying to create?

No need to *try* to talk down to me. Just because you're a supposed lawyer doesn't mean that you have any more information than I do.

You read the same exact stuff that I do about this case, so save your bullshit. There is no double secret probation lawyer pipeline that gives you any sort of special insight.

As you said, he is clearly guilty.

Look on the bright side...there is a decent chance that like most of these guys he wont do 1/10th of what he promised. he will also probably start slow and try and appear in "the middle" before he goes into full bleeding heart mode

Who the hell knows? WTF is a 'Civilian National Security Force', anyways? Do we even know?

It's absurd that anybody, at this point, questions potential spending until we see what happens.

This admin has had obscene spending from day one which goes on to this day, but some people are all frantic about the next admin.

What kind of sense does that make?
