not one f-cking indignant word from you on the butchery of our boys?....of the murder of over a hundred indians on commuter trains?.....the blowing up of hotels, markets, civilian buses, school children....the decapitation of innocents?....
Because what's the point of commenting on that? We already know what assholes the terrorists are. We already know the tactics of the enemy. There's no point in bitching about that. It requires no comment, and it excuses none of our actions that end up making this fight that much more difficult.

I think of fellow Americans as my family. They represent me and vice-versa. I will always come down harder on their actions. We assumed a high road when we started this war - otherwise there was no point in invading at all.

This Steven Green shlthead plotted this rape/murder for a week. He abandoned his post and uniform to do the deed. He burned the girl's body to destroy evidence. To even begin to rationalize this under any circumstance is an insult to the many fine troops and completely destroys our efforts. Any one who helped him must go down as well. This can not be stood for at all. It must be treated as black and white - same as if it happened here at home.

So what part of demanding justice for rape and murder makes me a liberal? Please explain that part of your blowhard rant.

When you sign on for a war you sigh on for acts like this.

Funny, I guess I never heard about all that rape retaliation training in the small print of the enlistment forms.

But, you're not condoning it, though. Thank God for that.

I don't condone it, but...

I don't mean to be insulting, but....

I'm not a racist, but....

Lots of people not condoning it in this thread.

Funny, I don't see beheading an American soldier listed under the crimes of war. I guess only American soldiers are applicable to this policy.

Has nothing to do with anything, but this is a PM I got out of the blue today at another forum from another centrist. He's mostly a lurker here these days.

Not sayin' I agree with it, just sayin'.

Somehow I picture weasel as a cartoon charactrer. Remember the 'Haggar the Horrible" cartoon ?? Remember his sidekick lucky eddie with the pointed little metal hat? That's how I picture the weasel. I see his head spinning and smoke coming out of his little pointed metal helmet. He's a nutter.

quoting some "anonymous" poster defaming me?.....another centrist?/ :D

and using me in your sig?....man,i really must`ve hit a nerve this time....lol

either way,i`m so flattered(smelling salts at the ready)....

smurph on butchery of american soldiers ..."yes it's horrible, but..."..after a long rant on the rape? ....

what would you have the military do,smurph?..is it being investigated?....or should we just cut the accused into little pieces ala the dhimmis?....

buddy,i get what you`re saying...."i expect vicious inhuman brutality from the islamists....god help us all if we descend to their level"...

i agree...but,with 2 words that put the whole issue in context...

rule/exception....

kosar...we all know that dems were the ones that fought reagan`s missile defense tooth and nail and try to down-size the military at every opportunity....that`s nothing new...don`t try and rewrite history on the dems weakness on intel and defense.....

back on point...with djv`s initial topic.....the rape of the iraqi girl..u.s. atrocities....and how it`s being handled by the military and the 5th column in this country(kosar, the media, murtha, dickless durbin and the rest)...

i just saw this on cnn... and andersonian cewper did a piece on these videos, complete with the "balanced" question of the justification for the barbarity being a response to a rape and murder, all followed up with a piece on "u.s. war crimes".,,,,lol...like,the u.s. presence in iraq turns the islamofascists suddenly into butchers....

this is called "enlightened ignorance"....

and i harken back to orwell`s comment...""the extreme left believes that the quickest way to end a war is to lose it...if you hamper the war effort of one side, you automatically help out the other.....elementary common sense"

this is what we`re dealing with in this country....2 enemies.....1 from without...and 1 from within..

we all know that no matter what the islamofascist barbarians do,be it beheading innocents to dissecting marines while having a hand puppet show and a sing-along....(be it in iraq...the philipines...thailand,india,the sudan..ad nauseum)...

the left wing will blame the u.s.a.by proxy....i guarantee it...it`s in the papers every day,24/7.....

this too, naturally, is bush's fault; this is rove's fault; heck, why stop there?....this is general custer's fault.....

and the aclu...amnesty int`l...the red cross....c.a.ir..... still call the u.s. the worst human rights abuser....

and kosar and the gang?...

/sound of crickets

i used to say that for guys like kosar and his anonymous alter ego/centrist buddies(little red riding trolls) ,luckily, stupidity isn`t fatal.....

well,this enemy may change that....

btw... i recommend FORCED VIEWING(of the soldier mutilation) on a looped track for 24hours extending at least seven days for the 5 justices of the supreme court who sided with the barbarians in declaring the brethren of these lowly cockroaches to be protected by the geneva conventions.....

whattaya think,k?

btw...let me add on the topic of the media drawing moral parallels between the iraqi rape and the disection of american soldiers...

had the today show on this morning....they present the information about the gruesome murder and mutilation in the context that the "perpetrators" claim that it was done in revenge for the rape and murder of an iraqi girl and her family.....the today show then proceeds to report that 5 u.s. soldiers are being held for that crime....

in other words, the today show is essentially giving editorial credence to these terrorists claims by quickly moving from the nature of their deed to the "crimes of the u.s"(as i mentioned cnn did in a previous panel)...they completely deflected the "blame"......

but that`s not the most derelict thing they did....they neglected to remind everyone of the fact that,if i`m not mistaken, the terrorists initially claimed that the soldier`s deaths were in response to and revenge for zarqawi`s death.....

they take the release of the unbelievably horrifying video of our soldiers being brutalized, and turn it into an al qaeda talking point....

not surprising...

gw,

I don't have the time or the energy to break down your myriad of misconcenptions like the fact that the group of chickenhawk draftdodging pussies you voted into office took Clinton's army to war (even though the Dem's are soft on defense), or about the fact that Reagan's missle defense program was a total pipe dream (and remains so), or your bizarre obsession with spreading democracy to the "islamofacists" (but you seem to have no plans for what to do with Iran, NK, or the Saudis for that matter.) I have no interest in engaging in all of your moral outrage about biased media coverage, but don't go trying to make Orwell a spokesman for the right (I take it you have never read him.)

Your misquote:

"the extreme left believes that the quickest way to end a war is to lose it...if you hamper the war effort of one side, you automatically help out the other.....elementary common sense"

the actual quote:

?The quickest way of ending a war is to lose it, and if one finds the prospect of a long war intolerable, it is natural to disbelieve in the possibility of victory.?

- George Orwell, 1/01/1946

what is it with you guys and bad sources and info? I guess when your intellectual heroes are Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc...truth and accuracy really don't matter.

O'Reilly say he's a independent. But every ones caught on to him.
His ratings in from latest Nielsen in USA. Hes down 19% over last year. Still has big numbers but going wrong way.
As for our service guys doing bad things. It's same old story. 98% will do nothing like this. But we will never get rid of the 2% that will.

Weasel,

I don't have the energy, or more accurately, the inclination, to address your posts point by point anymore, while you ignore mine and go on some meandering spree of topics that have nothing to do with anything and putting words in my mouth at the same time.

Perfect example:

kosar...we all know that dems were the ones that fought reagan`s missile defense tooth and nail and try to down-size the military at every opportunity....that`s nothing new...don`t try and rewrite history on the dems weakness on intel and defense.....

Where, exactly, did I even mention the dems history on intel and defense? Reagan's missle defense? WTF are you even talking about? Maybe you're in the wrong thread or something.

More gibberish:

this too, naturally, is bush's fault; this is rove's fault; heck, why stop there?....this is general custer's fault.....

and the aclu...amnesty int`l...the red cross....c.a.ir..... still call the u.s. the worst human rights abuser....

and kosar and the gang?...

/sound of crickets

You're all over the place, buddy, and not making a heck of a lot of sense in any of those places. Frantic.

I'll try again, as it's seemingly not really a complicated question:

What scenario would give you the green light to support bringing our troops home? What needs to happen?

If the answer is, 'when W says it's time', that's ok bro. If your answer is, 'never, not even if the Iraqi government wants us out and North Korea starts WW3', that's ok also.

Something. Anything.

orwell was a friend of mine...i was also very close with aunt jemima.....lol

as far as missile defense goes, unless you`re a total num num,you know that the reason that we have a limited missile defense system now.....
now that we really need one....is because the democrats in congress, and bill clinton abandoned the plan in 1991.....

just last year, carl(the penguin)levin (d-mich.) and jack reed (d-r.i.), tried to strip $50 mill from the missile-defense budget ....37 votes, including all but eight democrats....

lack of foresight...democrats always a day late and a dollar short...

well now....guess what just happened...

""On June 22nd the Senate approved an amendment by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R.-Ala.), chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, to infuse an additional $45 million into the Pentagon’s missile-defense program “to accelerate the ability to conduct concurrent test and missile defense operations.” The possible launch of a long-range North Korean missile “that could even reach the U.S.,” Sessions argued, “calls for us to move forward with [missile defense] deployment as well as testing.”

and japan is now on board with missile defense....

another quote for ya`..one that mark twain might have said has he still been on the green side of the grass.... .."nothing focuses the mind like the prospect of a north korean ballistic missile launch.” ....lol

liberals....akin to puppet theater...only stupider....

"orwell was a friend of mine...i was also very close with aunt jemima.....lol"

definitely not interested in getting into a debate that was a hot issue in the 80's, but the "Star Wars" missile defense program was 35 billion dollar fantasy that yeilded absolutely nothing. But an effective system that works, great...missile defense..all for it.

to reiterate Kosar's question (and attempt to focus your little mind)

I'll try again, as it's seemingly not really a complicated question:

i hope you aren`t cancer researcher,j.w..... kinda hard to have a comprehensive, effective system when you abandon the program, ain`t it?....

and ain`t it funny that this "fantasy"just got additional funding....45 million.......and the japanese are furiously working on their own missile defense...

what happened?...if this is "fantasy, why have the dems done a 180?

beginning to look like reagan was a visionary...

isn`t it odd how everything has changed of late?....guess the dems knew it was political suicide to try and downgrade our defense to a secondary priority...."yet" again....

i have a question for you,j.w(theres a switch)...

do you believe that 9/11 was an inside job?...

btw...when do we leave iraq?.....we leave when the democratically elected gov`t and our commanders on the ground agree that the iraqis can handle their own security......

short and sweet....

On point? How exactly did you come to babble on about SDI in this thread? That ain't exactly on 'point.'

At least you answered the other question. Not sure what took you so long to parrot the party line, but thanks.

You can expect a retort about how long it took to rebuild Germany and Japan. The fact that nobody was trying to kill our troops in those places will not be mentioned.
