The 65th Square
mediocre tonight

mediocre tonight

tony getting shot was the only thing that saved the show tonight

ho hum we all know he will be fine

i have been a huge soprano fan since the beginning

also i have been telling all my friends (many never saw the show) to watch it tonight

im afraid many new fans will not want to give the show a second chance

The 65th Square
here is the deal

here is the deal

newbies dont know the history or the power of tony

so tony getting shot is not a catcher for next week like it is for the die hard old fans

newbies would see a ho hum same old story mob show

talk to people that saw the show for the first time on monday

see what they say

will they watch it next week for sure?

no complaints at all...I think I counted 3 dead..not including 1 hit and run..1 close to death.. meadow strip tease. Some good humor throughout as well.

I have watched them all on DVD but i am not sold on its greatness enough to set the night aside. Just looking for someone to generally tell me what happened so i can decide whether to care in the coming weeks.

"the bunker"
very disappointed...watched all of 2004`s reruns leading up to tonight...and it`s like night and day....

the informants were zapped conveniently...one drops dead...the other hangs himself....

this is it after a year and a half?....glad none of the writers caught a hernia from working to hard..

a year and a half...in the story line to boot...janice with a baby?....

uncle junior so far gone that he`s not even interesting anymore....at the end, i thought junior might kill himself or fall down the steps...i was hoping for that,actually...cause,i`m not looking forward to watching more incoherent uncle junior without his uppers...

we lost robert loggia, joe pantoliano, steve buscemi and annabella sciorra... we`re getting julianne margulies?.....and she`s not even a guinea, she`s greek...

and please,no more dream sequences....

i was disappointed..didn`t seem like the usual quality....maybe the build up was impossible to live up to....

maybe next week it kicks into gear..

i guess part of the storyline will be the power struggle with tony on the mend...

hey.. I have a thought for west coast people...

dont come in and read a thread about a show you are going to watch in a couple of hours :nono:

just seems like common sense to me
