I know there are a lot of Starbucks threads here, but I don't see one to address my question. There is a Starbucks in the hospital lobby. All the women I work with including my wife love it. I have tried so many things there, and I just can't figure out the appeal. To me, it is very bitter.

Anyway, I like good coffee, but I like it with cream and sugar. I hate expresso. It can be regular code or iced.

Give me some suggestions on what to order from there that I might possibly enjoy Keeping in mind my preference of a lot of cream and very sweet. I want it to be coffee too not a frappe (milkshake).

Six-Five, there isn't anything there you are going to like unless you WANT to like it and force yourself to. Starbucks sells awful/burnt/bitter garbage that they pass off as coffee.

Contrary to what the popular crowd would want you believe as they justify spending $5 for terrible coffee, Starbucks has the worst coffee in the world, they just happen to have the best marketing department on the planet.

Their coffee sucks, their prices suck, their people (I mean baristas) mostly suck and there is no appeal to an actual coffee drinker to go there, ever.

The ONLY thing I get is a Hot Chocolate. I can't stand coffee, teas, or anything that has a coffee or tea smell or taste- hot or cold. PaSprint likes their regular coffee and he gets one of those shots of espresso.

Clint,
May I suggest getting coffee from the coffee pot at work adding a chocolate caramel, and hazelnut creamer (i like both mixed yes) and some sugar to taste and putting it in an old Starbucks cup. That way you still look cool in front if the ladies yet don't have to force down the bitter taste of the coffee or the emasculated feeling you get free with each $6 cup

Looking cool isn't a concern. I just feel like I'm missing something. How can this product be so popular yet suck so bad?

Balls Deep
mocha :0003

Get a soy misto and ask for 1 Splenda in it. It's half coffee and half soy. I don't like or drink soy any other time but it's sweeter than milk. Basically it's a cafe au lait but steamed soy instead of milk. Very tasty

Once in awhile I like a Cafe Mocha, just not so sweet, one pump instead of 3 with an extra shot of espresso. :0074

Tried it 2x, only when someone offered to buy that thought they could convince me starbucks is amazing.

I'll never spend my time there, yet alone money. If someone wants coffee, why don't they just make it themselves? I don't get it?

I'm not a coffee drinker, so my opinion could be skewed.

I don't remember the last Starbucks I had. Oh yeah, at Horseshoe Cincinnati a couple months ago but only because my wife was getting one to take back to the room. I don't know how to order there either but I always drink my coffee black and no sugar. I don't think I'm the customer they are looking for and vice versa.
