ha funniest thing I've read all day, thanks for the laugh BT. Don't think you're far off, there's an obsession and stigma about the place for some reason. Like many of you I'm not impressed with the product, although not an avid coffee drinker either. The people working always seem to be cordial and patient when I try to figure out how to place a simple order for a small coffee.

I know there are a lot of Starbucks threads here, but I don't see one to address my question. There is a Starbucks in the hospital lobby. All the women I work with including my wife love it. I have tried so many things there, and I just can't figure out the appeal. To me, it is very bitter.

Anyway, I like good coffee, but I like it with cream and sugar. I hate expresso. It can be regular code or iced.

Give me some suggestions on what to order from there that I might possibly enjoy Keeping in mind my preference of a lot of cream and very sweet. I want it to be coffee too not a frappe (milkshake).

Try a Misto. 50% steamed milk 50% coffee. Like an Arnold Palmer but for coffee.
Good beginner drink for a redneck.

I don't remember the last Starbucks I had. Oh yeah, at Horseshoe Cincinnati a couple months ago but only because my wife was getting one to take back to the room. I don't know how to order there either but I always drink my coffee black and no sugar. I don't think I'm the customer they are looking for and vice versa.

We have a senior center where I live that teaches a class on how to talk and order Starbucks properly so you're not made to feel embarrassed.

Exactly my recommendation above. Can try it with soy "soy misto" and it's sweeter- since you seem to need the sweetness via sugar. Add 1 splenda. Tasty shit.



Starbucks is no different than any other acquired taste- scotch, caviar, barbecue- you get used to it that way and then that ends up being the way you like it.

Love Starbucks because I love strong coffee in the AM. Buy the French Roast 40 oz. bags at Costco and at home it costs less that damn crap you buy at a store. (Folgers, Community, Dunkin, etc. ). Kroger had 12 oz. on sale last week for 5.99 a bag for Sumatra, Verona, Italian Roast, and Espresso......bought mixture of 15 bags which lasts awhile. Never buy in their store. Why should you unless too lazy to make at home?
