one point

having to win a game does not always translate into actually winning a game.

Agreed gjn. That's why I said it doesn't always turn out that the team who has to win wins. And I neglected to mention that I was talking about two teams who are comparable in talent. I wouldn't bet on a bad team to beat a good team just because they had to win.

As a Pgh fan lets look at it this way:

The Team I (We) need to win two has the easiest schedule.

The Team I (We) need to lose one has the hardest schedule. I think SD into KC is a tall task for the Bolts not to mention Denver should they win in KC.

As for the Steelers, the Cleveland Brownies will play their Super Bowl this Saturday and give the Black and Gold all they can handle. That said, the Blitzburgh "D" will show Charlie Frye things he never imagined as the Steelers should win. As for the closer vs. Detroit, that team gave up weeks ago.

In summary, the 11-5 Steelers get in by the skin of their teeth. Then, they get a crack at the BENGALS who have made a video similar to the Bears SuperBowl Shuffle of years past! What is Marve Lewis thinking???? That video is a reciepe for a round one loss should the Bengals face the Steelers.

Lots of ifs and buts above but I think you will see "The Chin" (I hate him) and the Black and Gold on the field in January.

P/S - Watch out for New England, I think they represent the AFC AGAIN in the SUper Bowl; just a hunch.

I also heard if Pittsburgh loses a game and Kansas City wins out, KC is in -- Pittsburgh, SD out.

And I am SuperMan, KC gets their a$$ handed to them the next two weeks. They can score but our local girl scouts can score against them. No way they can take SD - Pitt in the coming weeks. If they did happen to make it thru these two, they would have nothing left to play with. :mj07:

Actually, as I recall, when you have 3 teams the first team is decided by the conference record tiebreaker. Then you revert to two team tie breaker as to the remaining two. Jax gets in because they beat Pittsburgh.
