This guy, I just want to say, is so far above everybody else in the league it isn't even funny. He's the only player in the league that is actually good at playing basketball, and by that I mean he does every little thing right, to the extent the flawed and failing human body can execute its will. Phoenix without him on the floor, as last night, is a bunch of flailing, discombobulated nincompoops.

I salute Steve Nash!

He doesnt do everything great. He cant play for many minutes anymore, and he also can't defend. But watching him run the pick and roll is a thing of beauty :0corn

Amazing

Amazing

The guy is the best in the NBA. Please go find another player to pick apart cause he is without doubt in a class all his own.

How many nba finals has the best player in the league played in? He is good at what he does, but to say he is more complete than Jason Kidd or even Tony Parker or Baron Davis is up for debate.

I'll have to say that I was watching the game last night and was thinking about how unreal of a player he is. I think he could average 30 a game if he wanted. He doesn't miss many shots and that includes some of the difficult ones. He makes everyone around him better and more importantly they all play harder when he's on the court.

I agree about the defense but you also have to realize that none of these point guards can stop the other point guard. I can't think(off the top of my head anyway) of one point guard that I would want starting for me that is a good one on one defender against any of the top offensive point guards. They're just too quick.

I personally think the run he's had over the last 3 years has been as good a "point guard" play as there's ever been. If you put him in Magic's spot with Byron Scott, James Worthy, Kareem, Cooper and Thompson he would have a few championships as well.

Magic was a whole different animal. 6-9. Caused all kinds of match up problems.

I would still take Magic over Nash any day.

The only thing they are arguably better than him are is defense.

Steve Nash is the only player in todays NBA that you can clearly state year in and year out that he's the most valuable player to his team. Now we have a kid named LeBron who's starting to show some signs of that as well.

Not one of those 3 are better on D except for Kidd and that's the old Kidd not the player he is now or for the last 2 years. Parker is horrible on defense and Davis is a no show for too many games to inlcude him on any list.

One other thing, Magic was a great player and I'll say the best point guard I've ever seen for his entire career but he wasn't a good defender. he couldn't guard the other point guards but because of the times and how offensive the game was it didn't make as much difference. If he played in todays game and had to guard Tony Parker, Nash or any other of the good point guards he woud be in trouble.

I will give you kidd, but tp or Davis? Who can debate those two? TP cannot pass or shoot as good as nash and does not run his team. Davis played like a MVP in one series vs dallas last year, otherwise he is inconsistent and injury prone, though at times he can be unstoppable.

I would say CP or Deron Williams, or Kidd would have to be in consideration for best pg with nash this year.

There are several PG's in the NBA whom are very good. Honestly, I'm disapinted in how bad Utah is. They have more talent 1-5 then any other team in the NBA, IMO.

Then with Parker, he truely is a great PG who simply is a perfect match for the team he plays on. But we all know, without Duncan, they have no chance at winning it all. I could say, without Parker, they could still win it.

Then, with Baron Davis, the obvious is evident, he's too inconcsistent and injured.

With Jason Kidd, he's almost like a slower version of Steve Nash, really. I just like the way Nash plays and IMO he truely makes everyone better. It's not like you just see the results and assume that, but if you watch the games, you can really tell.

Lets just settle it.

There's a helluva lot of great PG's in the league right now.
