they were plotting this before the election?....you mean, like the 9/11 attack?...

nobody in the cia spotted this cherry picking and blew the whistle?.... with every swinging dick in the media ready to make them the greatest american hero since john paul jones?....

just listen to yourself.... you`ve taken over the mantle of "resident forum jester/conspiracy kook" that pt1gard used to carry(to his great embarrassment)....

very sad... :nooo:

No, not 9/11, for Christs sake. I meant the invasion of Iraq. But a 9/11 type incident was the only possible way for the media and American people to not question, and in fact support, the invasion. For a couple of years, at least.

As far as nobody in the CIA noticing the cherry-picking? Of course that's not true. We have, what, like 20 different intel agencies? There have been many that were part of that process that said that 'negative' intel that didn't support the invasion, was presented to the admin but never quite made it out publicly.

What's wrong with you? (it's rhetorical)

They weren't household names, so forgive me if I don't remember their names of the top of my head. I'll try to do some legwork for you later when I have more time.

I guess we can start with Colin Powell's chief of staff.

Powell's Former Chief of Staff Lawrence Wilkerson Calls Pre-War Intelligence a 'Hoax on the American People'

NEW YORK, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- In an interview airing tonight on the PBS weekly newsmagazine NOW, Colin Powell's former Chief of Staff Lawrence Wilkerson makes the startling claim that much of Powell's landmark speech to the United Nations laying out the Bush Administration's case for the Iraq war was false.

"I participated in a hoax on the American people, the international community, and the United Nations Security Council," says Wilkerson, who helped prepare the address.

The NOW report, which airs days before the third anniversary of Powell's speech, examines the serious doubts that existed about the key evidence being used by the American government at the very time Powell's speech was being planned and delivered.

"I recall vividly the Secretary of State walking into my office," Wilkerson tells NOW. "He said: 'I wonder what will happen if we put half a million troops on the ground in Iraq and comb the country from one end to the other and don't find a single weapon of mass destruction?'" In fact, no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq.

Tough crowd. Demanding a solution to the banking crisis in 6 weeks after not a peep in the 7 months before that.

Didn't W throw 700 Billion at the banks and brokerage companies? To what effect? Exactly.

Jesus Christ, give the guy a little time. There is no quick fix to this mess.

...............................................................

They have been unable to account for most of the 700 billion. About par for the course. Bush and Cheney smiling like gophers.

DTB dont want a fix. he just wants to continue to say God Damn America

Geez Louise that sounds familiar

Obama's Radicalism Is Killing the Dow
It's hard not to see the continued sell-off on Wall Street and the growing fear on Main Street as a product, at least in part, of the realization that our new president's policies are designed to radically re-engineer the market-based U.S. economy, not just mitigate the recession and financial crisis.

Mr. Obama's $3.6 trillion budget blueprint, by his own admission, redefines the role of government in our economy and society. The budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, adding more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined.
