Democratic Mayor Asking for $55 Million Federal Bailout to Repair Race Riot Damages
Now, he wants the taxpayer to pay for the riots.

Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey is ordering city officials to begin a wide-ranging query of the damage done to the city?s infrastructure from the race riots that began last week after the death of George Floyd, planning on requesting a federal bailout for the city to repair the damages done by ?protestors.?

Early preliminary estimates gauge the price tag of property damage from the riots at more than $55 million dollars. Frey is already working with U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and representatives Ilhan Omar and Betty McCollum on a potential bailout package for the city.

Curiously, Frey seemed a lot less concerned about the economic and property damage impacts of the race riots when they were actually happening. Even the Democratic Governor of Minnesota, who proved almost equally inept at preventing mass destruction and controlling the volatile situation, slammed Frey for his refusal to deter the large crowds of criminal rioters, calling the city?s response to the riots an ?abject failure.? Frey rebuffed suggestions to deploy the Minnesota National Guard before caving and giving in.

In a remarkable display of irresponsibility, the liberal Democrats cheering on rioting and property damages aren?t even willing to pay for the damages enacted in their own communities. As it turns out, the buck stops with the American taxpayer, many of whom they?d gladly point to as ones whom they?re protesting.

somewhere over the rainbow
Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi joined the DC Protest mob on Wednesday in Washington DC.
This is two days after the torched historic St. John?s Church and desecrated the Lincoln Memorial and Korean War Memorial.

So Pelosi just proved we can all get out to the polls and vote in Nov. No need for vote at home scam.

That was a little ironic seeing as though she wouldn't come back to DC to do her job because of the pandemic but she found a way to join the riots...I mean "protests".

She's a piece of trash

Because everyone knows that the best way to protest is to leave a public space when asked. :mj07:

The head of the New York City Council?s health committee may have come up with the lamest reason so far to continue spreading irrational fear of COVID-19 while simultaneously perpetuating the lie that America is the most bigoted country on the planet

One phenomenon several people have pointed out is that the protests and demonstrations are taking place without any regard for coronavirus distancing guidelines. This is true even in Michigan, where the fascist Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has extended her original stay-at-home order five times, the most recent order set to expire June 12 if she doesn?t extend it again.

The same is also true in New York City, where another fascistic, power-drunk Democrat, Mayor Bill de Blasio recently sent police to break up a Jewish funeral because ?social distancing rules? were not being followed, but were, suddenly, a virtue-signaling appearance at a Floyd memorial service is okay.

In any event, what?s incredible about these incidents is the take on them from New York City council member Mark Levine, chief of the council?s health panel.

?Let?s be clear about something: if there is a spike in coronavirus cases in the next two weeks, don?t blame the protesters. Blame racism,? he actually wrote on Twitter, National Review notes. ?And let?s remember that the police are increasing COVID risk by: using tear gas; herding demonstrators into tight spaces; putting people in crowded jails.?

Right. Enforcing the law is now spreading disease. Oh, and racism.

Translated loosely, this means the First Amendment only applies sometimes, when he says so, but never when it?s about advancing a false narrative and a political agenda, and then, only when it?s done for maximum effect.

Hey Hypocricet, why were you trying to present someone else's work as your own thoughts? Is it because you are tired of being called a dipshit? That's just sad. Stealing the work of others because you aren't smart is really pathetic.

Calling cockroach a dipshit is simply stating facts:

2x2=4

cockroach = dipshit*

*dipshit - Urban Dictionary

Tracers

Tracers

lBecause it?s a deep blue state and voters there are not going to hold him or any other Democrat accountable for their hypocrisy and bad policy decisions, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has forbidden the city?s small army of 1,000 or so ?coronavirus contract tracers? from asking sickened residents if they participated in any George Floyd demonstrations recently.

?No person will be asked proactively if they attended a protest,? said a spokesperson for de Blasio, Avery Cohen, in comments to The City

Instead, surveyors recruited to track the disease around the Big Apple will ask a series of indirect questions about how an individual may have gotten the disease in recent days.

Prior to the admittedly unfortunate death of Floyd, New York was known for its ? shall we say overly authoritarian approach ? to coronavirus ?social distancing? requirements. De Blasio himself has sent the NYPD to break up a Jewish funeral and threatened to literally have cops pull people out of the ocean if they are caught swimming (but being on the beach ?for a limited time? was okay).

And earlier this month, this massive hypocrite once again had cops warn Hasidic Jews they would be arrested if they dared to gather and pray ? even as rioters who were not social distancing were tearing apart portions of his city.

Now, he wants to ignore the ?gross violations? of social distancing guidelines as he sends out hundreds of contact tracers with instructions to ignore one of the most obvious ways people could have contracted the virus this month.

Sound about right?

Townhall reports:

Some questions of COVID-19 positive patients include whether or not the individual resides with others at home and who they have come into direct contact with. Other questions specifically look to assess the type of contact an individual may have had with others and where that location might be.

Despite the growing concern about a lack of social distancing among protesters in the past several weeks, however, no question about whether a sick person contacted thousands of other protesters and police officers is permitted.

?If a person wants to proactively offer that information, there is an opportunity for them to do so,? Cohen said, speaking on behalf of the mayor.

Notably, New York City was the COVID-19 epicenter in the United States for weeks. An outsized percentage of all coronavirus infections and deaths have occurred in the city, particularly in nursing homes and eldercare facilities after Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered them to accept COVID-sick patients, in spite of the fact that we?ve known for months older people and those with pre-existing co-morbidities were much more susceptible to the disease.

And it?s not as if de Blasio and Cuomo don?t know that the massive protests and subsequent vigils for Floyd did not involve risk of spreading the disease anew.

But they aren?t concerned about those violations, just others ? like, when people are trying to open their businesses so they can earn a living or when New Yorkers who want to go out and enjoy themselves for a night on the town.

Then again, some New Yorkers are their own worst hypocrites.

?We have received 25,000 complaints of reopening violations. Bars or restaurants that violate the law can lose their liquor license. People with open containers in the street can be fined. Police & protesters not wearing masks can be fined. Local gov't must enforce the law,? Cuomo tweeted.
