Goodness someone had a bad day!!! Not sure if you will like this but I do this sometimes in case someone plows into the back of me not looking where they are going. Not sure I see your point, if you move up one car, that doesn't speed up getting to your end destination. To just hurry up an extra foot or two to just wait more? Maybe a government paid for study can time it both ways and report out in 5 years after 1 million in taxpayer money is spent.

My favorite are people who go slow approaching a green light, it goes to yellow and the speed up to get through and leave you stuck at the red light.....
Everyone on the cell. Wished like hell they would make it federal crime and throw them in jail on first offense.

It's kind of the on the road equivalent of taking up multiple parking spaces.
I'm with Wineguy on this one....What's the hurry so it takes an extra 30 seconds to get to you destination?
you delay the traffic behind you that can't get thru the lights in bumber to bumber traffic
I listen to NPR (especially on Friday's) and I listen to podcasts. I don't even care about traffic. :0008:0008

Traffic in BG???? :mj07:
Now I will say that Scottsville Road is a damn bear on a Saturday. Sheezus it is bumper to bumper all damn day and great for people watching getting all bent out of shape. Otherwise, NPR sounds nice. :0074
OK, so you want everyone on everyones ass bumper to bumper because of traffic lights??? Have you noticed when you miss a traffic light that when you get to the next one (in traffic you describe) that the ones that got through are there waiting for the next light? And this is what stresses you out? I would never have expected this from a fishing guy that tells everyone to relax, gives great advice, and never seems to be the guy you are portraying to get somewhere in 34 minutes rather than 36 minutes because of a car difference between cars. Correct me if I am wrong. I live in Atlanta and face the same crap.
you are missing the point ....when people do not pull up behind the car in front of them within a safe distance and NOT lagging behind a whole CAR LENGTH the entire highway is used like it is meant be so the flow of traffic is suitable to all travelers.
I can be relaxed in my car listening to Dan Patrick or recalling something smartalec yyz had to say the day before here and drive just fine. I can see deal with the traffic surrounding the largest Naval Base in the world a little easier if folks would operate their vehicle like they aren't the only one on their merry way to OZ.
and I despise tail gatters......... ..
