On the course!
So do you have your driving route planned out to Denver that you hit every light and stay on the guys bumper in front of you the whole way no matter the situation? 20 hours and 10 minutes is waaaaaaaaay better than 20 hours and 22 minutes. Just sayin'. Look forward to hanging out Eric. :mj07:

It's not about saving time, really. It's about flow. Let's say 40 cars can be between blocks of traffic lights. Now, you're one car, but multiply it by hundreds per day. Now you have 32 cars instead of 40. Now, that might "slow me down" a few seconds, and that's no big deal. But, spread that out, and it becomes a shitload of cars and time.

I have more problems with people who drive too fast and recklessly than I do with people who are going too slowly or who aren?t 100% efficient with all their driving decisions. I?ll take a little frustration there any day over a moron who is in a hurry and endangering others. If all drivers just left with ample time to get to their destinations, we wouldn?t have as many problems.

As a big rig operator we do it for various reasons in traffic but believe it or not the main reason is in case we need to move right or left to get around someone in front of us that may possibly break down or be on the phone not paying attention. Also it takes us a lot longer to get moving than it does you and if we are in the left lane in traffic it means we are within one mile of our destination to make a left turn we don't do it to be pricks, its not that easy getting 70 feet and 40 tons in the proper lane when we have to turn.....we always don't know exactly where we are going.

What I cannot stand is when a driver in center or left lane realizes he may miss his exit and BRAKES at 60 mph so he can get get over. I wonder how many rear end collisions they cause.

What really slows things down and pisses me off the most are the assholes that have to change lanes every 100 feet because they think they are going to get there faster that way.

I wouldn't be able to live in Atlanta with all that traffic you have down there, Chuck. Holy shit, the only place I ever saw it worse than there is in Toronto and maybe DC.

Toronto traffic is the worst in all of North America.

Rule number 1 if you live in the Toronto area.......don't bother driving, just walk, you'll get there faster:SIB

Oh and by the way you'll fail most drivers tests if you don't stop 1 car length behind another car.

Kind of figured your explanation with the big rigs. I just never noticed it till the last couple years. Of course, till recently not many "slow downs" in this area. :0008
