As much as I hate Aoki, I think he might actually win:mj02:

I have said for years that if Aoki ever fights in a cage in North America he'd lose. But I was assuming he'd be fighting a guy in the top 10 in the division. Yes, many think Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez is top 10. I do not.

Melendez has never impressed me and if he were in the UFC he'd last maybe 3 fights and get cut. Does Melendez suck, no he does not. I just wish that scumbag pussy Aoki was fighting a "top guy". Fuck:gf:


It really sucks because Aoki is the most over-rated MMA fighter on the planet. He isn't close to #2 as some polls say, not even close. The guy is maybe 7 or 8.......maybe.


Now when Aoki beats Melendez we will hear "the best lightweight on the planet" from the announcing team........kickserv is going to :mj02:


I sure hope I am wrong, but I think Melendez is in deep shit. Although Aoki is the biggest pussy in MMA, the guy is a crybaby and a little bitch. I bunch of guys in the crowd booing him may cause him to cry and tap-out. And I ain't kidding, this guy has the heart of a corpse. He just may give up if things are not going his way.

This ain't Japan Aoki....you actually have to fight through some adversity.

For those that don't know......I fucking hate Aoki.

I don't know what to think of the Mous vs Mo fight. Mousasi either isn't hard to take down or has let guys take him down. I know Kang and Jacare both had him down fairly easily. Kang of course being his bonehead self left himself open for a sub and Jacare just got caught by a beautiful up kick. I can see Mo LnPing his way to a win. I would love to know what his sub defense is like because I don't think he can win standing so when it does go to the ground is he going to be prepared. I don't think we have a fight in which we can gauge his skills.

Anyone seen the pics of Jake next to Hendo. I was suprised at the size difference. I was going to go with a max bet on Hendo(if odds aren't too out of wack) but now I don't know.

Agreed that Shields is clearly the play or no play based on those odds.
Shields is way too good to drop -400 on Hendo in my opinion.
Aoki +130 or there abouts is a nice play as well like Kick said, Melendez is a nice fighter but have my doubts about a being labeled a top fighter.
Aoki is just flat out good like him or hate him.

If El Nino comes out swinging and avoids a takedown then he could make Aoki tap via punches but he will not get subbed.

Hmm, I was going to make a play on Aoki as a dog but he can't wear those pants Kickserv loves so much. Not sure how much that will hurt him, I don't know how much of a difference those are to the things he'll be able to wear around his knees. Any opinions on this?

I like Hendo, but I agree with Brainiac. I think Shields is being a bit overlooked here. Hendo should win, but I don't like -400.

Mousasi vs. Mo is one of the best fights in years, prospect wise. Amazing skills on both sides. Gegard has made me a ton of money and is one of my favorite fighters. The guy is a quiet assassin. But Mo has some serious pop and wrestlers always give Mousasi a bit of trouble. Jacara was having great success until that incredible Gegard upkick from his back.

I just can't call this one. I will probably take Gegard if it gets to pick 'em. But I don't think it will get that far.

Can't wait to see this card though. Awesome fights.

i would consider shields if he had even a modicum of a stand-up game....he doesn`t ...couldn`t crack an egg.....i remember seeing him on bully beatdown and he couldn`t do shit to the bully standing up...:mj07:...

and i like the guy...he`s been money...his ground game is just that good...

he does have a more well rounded ground game than henderson(considering his subs).....

he HAS to get this to the ground....he has no stand-up...no power...at least that i`ve seen...
