not sure what to make of jake vs. dan at the moment.
despite being a good wrestler, dan has been taken down numerous times in his career. but i think that was his being very aggressive with punches and being comfortable on his back, particularly with pride's rules which didn't penalize guard fighters.
but, when he wants to stop a takedown he's seemed to be capable of it. against palhares, he stopped him all but once and i think palhares is faster and stronger than jake.
jake has seemed more of a monson type grappler, great ground control, but mid-level takedowns.
so, seeing him get deep singles on dan with no standup to set up his takedowns was surprising.

Babalu is the guy that would be a bad matchup for Mo. The only problem with that fight is that I can see Mo wanting to keep the fight standing and if he did Babalu would not be able to take him to the mat.

Yeah Shields is the best wrestler in the history of wrestling. :mj07: he got lucky fighting a guy who was a shell of himself with injuries.
what injuries?.....he was so injured he couldn`t sprawl?....he lost 4 of 5 rounds decisively...
he knew what shields wanted to do and was utterly powerless to stop it....
that`s dominance...

Hendo is being classy about it and giving Shields his credit. If u think Shields can toss around hendo like that but Rampage had a very hard time then i don't know what to tell ya. Hendo would have lost to anyone Saturday night. neck and back problems add up to no power at all and almost less cardio. Same shit happen to Silva over Rashard Evans. Bad back equals bad cardio and taken down at will..

have to agree with sponge and disagree with weasel here. Hendo was obviously hurt and fighting at way less than 100%.
