Ok first off..............I was dead wrong on this card....dead wrong.

Shields impressed me, I thought Henderson would win easily. I was wrong.

I thought Gegard would beat Mo....I was wrong.

Now what I was right about........

Nick Diaz biggest scum in MMA, I have said that forever, and tonight solidified that. Nick Diaz is scum.

I said Aoki was most over-rated fighter in MMA, could I be more right. Melendez isn't even top 10 in the division and he just toyed with Aoki. Melendez would get cut if he was in the UFC, but he beats Aoki with ease, too funny:142smilie

King Mo, did not impress me at all, I will bet huge against him next time. Gegard was terrible, just terrible. Mo was gassed after 2 rounds, and Gegard should have finished him easily. Instead Gegard decided he wanted to gas out. And on top of that he fought dumb. Talk about horrid takedown defense. Gegard was terrible. And yes Mo will lose his next time out. Gegard made Mo look good, simple as that.

Best thing about the card.......AOKI is exposed as a fraud....Love it.....just love it:00hour

And Nick Diaz is scum

you are 100% right about Diaz (and Melendez was in that brawl too, he's sort of a scumbag as well)

Aoki ?.....PUSSY.....you were 100% right there too

but be careful going against Mo...I'm telling you, he has major potential....he beat a really good fighter tonight

I have always heard Mayhem is pretty well liked by MMA fighters even though he is a strange fellow.
I guess this was not one of the groups of guys that like him.

the undercard fights were decent but not terribly entertaining. Mayhem was put in against a total chump who was soft and gave up almost immediately.

The King Mo/Moussasi fight was dreadful. Gegard had horrible takedown defense and seemed gassed from the get. I told my buddy when he walked out that he didn't look right or ready to go. It was obvious. wth was wrong with him?? Anyway, Mo learned pretty fast that Gegard had no takedown defense but that he could hurt him even off his back. Gegard wasn't some chump like he was used to fighting. I'm not sure if Mo landed any punches the ENTIRE fight until that little exchange right at the end of the fight. Mo did the lay and pray bs the whole fight, and it royally sucked balls.

Aoki was HORRIBLE. I've never seen such a poor strategy. He probably has mat-burn on his anus from scooting around like a dog with worms. Disgraceful! Melendez did all he could and fought hard, but it's hard to fight somebody who doesn't want to fight you. Ridiculous fight.

I thought Hendo had Shields down in the first round. If this had been in the UFC where he could have used elbows, the fight would have been over. Nice recovery. Shields had very nice technique on the ground, but he needs a heckuvalota work on his ground and pound. How can you have a guy in full mount for 4 minutes and barely touch him?? Hendo is one of my favorites, but really, he showed his age tonight for the first time. Shields was stronger on the ground and outwrestled him. I haven't read anything online yet, but I think Hendo hurt or broke his hand in the first round. He's not going to make that excuse, but it would explain a lot. If not, then he's just lost a step. Shields has to learn to finish though, and his standup has a lot of holes. He's not even in the top 10 in his class. If he learns some standup and how to finish though, watch out for him.

The most entertaining part of the night, of course, was the melee at the end. I knew kickserv would be railing on the Diaz brothers, and of course, I was right about that. Really though, it was Mayhem vs. the world up there, and he was the one out of line. I haven't watched the replay yet, but I think it was staged. Heck, Strikeforce needs something good out of that chitty night of fights! kurby

Yes....agreed Melendez is kind of a punk, but when the Diaz brothers are around, everybody else looks ok:tongue

As for King Mo....the dude was gassed out early, a REAL FIGHTER would have finished Mo. Mo won and deserved to win, but I am not impressed with a champ who gasses out that early.

Gegard was pathetic.

But all that doesn't matter, the main thing was that Aoki was exposed.

Nick Diaz, beats a bunch of nobodies, and thinks he's the shit. But he is number 1 on my prick list.

6/5.....no way in hell that was staged....it was on CBS, trust me, they didn't want that on CBS I can tell you that.

Also, great point about th elbows, stupid that StrikeForce doesn't allow them.

Nick Diaz never fights anyone in top 10, but continues to be number 1 scum, what a solid fellow.

I have a strong feeling that if this GSP fight doesn't get done with Silva, Nick will be back in the UFC to fight him. It's going to happen, and I'll be all over Diaz at the +170!!

Sidenote... I listened to Adam Corolla's podcast today on the way to the fights. He had John McCarthy on there, and John talked about GSP getting beat by Serra. He said you could just tell that night that GSP's mind wasn't there and that he would get beat. If only we could have that inside information. He said he knows 9 out of 10 times when a fighter is going to win or lose by their attitude and countenance in the back.

Kick, no comment about my autograph??? I know you have to love it!

Nick Diaz has to beat maybe 8 guys in top 10 before he even gets a sniff of GSP balls. Nick Diaz isn't in the top 10 and even if he was in the UFC he wouldn't be close to GSP. Alves and Fitch would absolutely destroy Nick Diaz. Just take a look at the crap Diaz has fought.

Plus why in the hell would you want a scumbag dipshit like Diaz in the UFC? You already have one Diaz....that is enough:scared

And Anderson doesn't deserve to fight GSP after what he did in the UAE. Maybe Sonnen can beat Anderson and Dana can cut Anderson. I have lost all respect for Anderson, although he is nowhere close to Nick. Nick is on another level of asshole.

Oh and nice autograph, but I thought for sure you'd have Nick's:shrug:

Nick wasn't available, and he's not a nice guy like Hendo. Terrific fighter yes, douchebag yes as well. He beats anybody they throw at him. He just needs to get his stuff worked out with Dana so he can get his real competition. It's not because he's ducking it (like Fedor).

can shields beat gsp?...may-be........he`s a huge 170 pounder..and he may be the one guy that can out-wrestle him.....

might be boring, but, this fight has to be made at some point...

btw...didn`t think that crazy mayhem was really to blame for the melee.....we`ve seen numerous other fighters step up into the cage and ask for a rematch or just vamp for being next in line...hell,classy guys like gsp have done it.....

this time i have to agree....the diaz crew are way outta control...

Not a lot to say other than Aoki sucks and I will never bet on another Japanese fighter.

I watched the fight with quite a few people and one of the guys was my good friends BJJ instructor. He kept talking about how strange it was that Gregard wasn't going for submissions but even stranger that he wasn't even working his hips to get close to trying any. I've never been more frustrated by a fighter in any fight. I said earlier that I thought he let guys take him down because he was so comfortable on his back but he loves those up kicks way too much.

I also didn't think his standup looked very good. Something about that fight just didn't look right.

DANA IS LOVING THIS! He lets Hendo walk for more money to SF and now he could possibly get the guy that beats him in his first fight. Getting Shields would be a major score for the UFC.(I believe that was his last fight in his current contract but I could be wrong)

that what i said,too,layin`....either mousasi is calm (bordering on comatose),was sick,or just doesn`t have a very evolved sub game...

either that or soo many early stoppages came so easy(and fast)that the guy`s cardio has never been really tested by a strong pressure fighter like mo....

whichever, mousasi`s aura of invincibility was shattered...

Stunning all the Shields nut huggers haven't mention that Henderson had back problems leading up to the fight and had to cut 18 pounds in two days. That is why he had trouble with Shields and not things Shields was doing. You have back problems u have power issues. Heck even the announcers said this but of course they say this in round one and it is hid from the public so we have to bet blindly. I took Hendo and if i even had an inkling of these problems i would have never bet him. Everything Dan showed, showed problems from his back issues. Bad cardio, no power, no strength etc.., Shields beat a shell of Henderson tonight. Dan looked gassed after round one. When have u ever see Hendo gassed after round one? Hendo had one shot and that was to get Shields out of there early and he almost did it but after that he was finished. A healthy Hendo would smash Shields

I knew he had to have some kind of injury. There's no way Shields outwrestles Hendo unless he's hurt or unless he's just lost that much secondary to age. Injury and he still couldn't gnp him out? Shields blows.

Mayhem remains in my top 3 favorite fighters. :0corn

He is entrertaining, funny, somewhat considerate,oh and a very solid fighter.

Funny when the guy says the Diaz brothers are back there a little upset with you.
Mayhem-"I can see that." :mj07:

Nick is a jacksass. Does he think we are blind? He says Miller came in and pushed Shields.
Seriously dude, smoke some more weed.

Also great line from Nick Diaz "It is not like we are out there trying to keep it gangster it just happened."

That is funny because this is not the first and probably will not be the last time it just happens when you are on the scene.

I thought Dana would have bashed Strikeforce for this, but I guess it is hard to do when it is one of his own guys in the cage causing the shit to go down with his pothead brother.

Maybe Mousasi had some kind of injury , I don't know . All he had to do is move a little bit and finish off Mo instead he just stood there right in front of him waiting for Mo to jump in and take him down . He attempted like one or 2 subs of his back and that was it , I've thought Mo was begging to get triangled or armbared like Fedor does em off his back
Pretty funny people were booing Mo and he was like yall keep on booin me but ima keep on winnin :142smilie

Sure when did u ever see Hendo get rolled over like that time and time again? Heck he held his own wrestling with Rampage and i doubt if Shields is even half as strong as Rampage. Hendo couldn't do anything on the bottom cause he had ziltch for power. Even his standup looked strange like he was crotchin. when he was interviewed right before the match i sense something was wrong. He just looked different to me. Like his face was bloated and tired. One of those announcers even said Hendo was walking around stiff as a board. He should have never taken that fight but he was the headliner and prolly had to much pride to back off. He had Shields in a few positions where he tried to flip him and just couldn't. I knew i was screwed. First takedown in the fifth i just shut off the TV and went to bed. those disc problems will kill a guy. You know that as well as me. uggh
