I just watched the replay of the Diaz and Koons (sp?) fight last night were the champion Diaz proclaimed himself the best fighter pound for pound in the world and then went out there and got the shit kicked out of him by this nobody. They actually had to stop the fight, because his face looked like it was smashed with a brick. Diaz sucks.

I am cheering for Zaromskis and I hope he headkicks Diaz into oblivion (or Bolivia as Mike Tyson used to say)

NO PLAY though, as most think Diaz will take this

I have a small parlay with Hieron and Cyborg

my one big play is MANHOEF
He is going to DESTROY Lawler

Robbie keeps saying in every interview how he is going to stand with Melvin
this thing is going to be over quickly
Filho had trouble getting Melvin down, so I don't see how Lawler does it successfully without getting bludgeoned

LARGE ON "NO MERCY" MANHOEF

manhoef/lawler is a weird fight.....i`m kind of torn on this one.....

don`t know what lawler has planned...but he`s a striker,so,i believe that`s what he`ll do...bad move because that`s not what he SHOULD do....

his problem here is that he`s changed his style of late...now he`s cautious early... a ridiculously slow starter...and throws an awful lot of "feeling out" punches before he settles in...

it`s like lawler has become nick diaz....with all the pitty-pat stuff early...he can get away with it vs scott smith...not sure about manhoef...

that style flaw h`s developed leaves the door open for manhoef because he`s not feeling out anything...he`s looking to end it quickly...

lawler`s talking about "angles",but that`s bullshit...and i don`t think lawler`s the type that will use his height or lefty stance as effectively as he should...lets face it,lawler should use his striking to close and take manhoef down...use the experience from rolling with all the wrestler`s in matt hughes` stable....i just don`t think he will...i think he`s made his bed as a striker...and he`ll sink or swim with that....

all that said,i still want to take him as the dog...i don`t know why...he`s up to +175 at 5 dimes...i`m gonna hold out for now...

i like your hieron/santos par,g.k.....i just wish this parlay wasn`t so damned expensive.....those are the two that look solid from here...you could even hedge with coenen at almost +500....

i`ve watched riggs quite a few times...and he`s strong and a solid striker...but he`s limited...and doesn`t like taking punishment...he`s not afraid to tap or get out of a fight if things get dicey.....

and he "usually" fails when stepping up...

coenen can fight...she`s got excellent stand-up...an excellent straight right hand...straight...like an arrow...and she has serious submissions...

what she doesn`t have,is enough wrestling acumen...and mainly testosterone....that`s the main difference here...

shouldn`t matter who has better skills...unfortunately,she`ll probably get overpowered here...steamrolled...

theres something going on with santos...and if there isn`t,she`s a genetic freak....

diaz/zaromskis?...zaromskis is an excellent striker/kicker....a fish out of water on the ground...but,again,i believe that diaz will leave the door open because he`s pretty much abandoned his ground game....these mma fighters are a hard headed lot...

what diaz does do is use his height...that`s a big advantage for him....that and his toughness...he discourages guys...beats them mentally...

this is similar to lawler/manhoef...i still think diaz wears down zaromskis for the win...but i can`t help but remember his fight with k.j. noons....and imo, zaromskis is better than noons....

hope everybody throws some picks up...i`ll put some up in a little while...

after hitting a few dogs in boxing then coming a cropper with a parlay,i`m calling it a weekend....quitting while i`m ahead...

hieron`s chin scares me...and lawler might be too calm for a guy as strong and quick as manhoef,,,,

was thinking a santos/hieron/manhoef par w/a lawler hedge, but,i doubt it...

hieron is f-cking everything up...i don`t trust his chin...riggs is a big 170 pounder...still,,he`s no world beater with chin issues of his own... love to bet against him...but something about hieron leaves me cold...

gonna relax and watch tonight.......

g.l.,guys...

ke...what`s your take on lawler here?....i was thinking all week lawler might take manhoef into deep water and drown him....then,i watched a few more videos of manhoef going ape-shit on guys early and i was worried about lawler being too laid back(and maybe too slow)early in the fight....

what`s your thinking?....

kegray and kickserv disagree on how great Dana White is and how great Carwin is.

But one thing we agree on is this......Melvin Manhoef is an idiot. It is never a good idea to bet on an idiot. Plus Melvin Manhoef has horrific cardio. If Lawler has an IQ above 45 and can last the 1st round he will win. I think ya have to be on crack to take Melvin Manhoef at those odds. Sure Melvin Manhoef may win, but odds and IQ say go with Robbie.

Oh......and......

Where is sixfive??????

His over-rated boy Diaz is going to get EXPOSED soon.

Well we all know both these guys want to bang.
Question is who has the bigger punch and who has the better chin,
Melvin finds ways to get submitted which will not happen tonight.
Question is who has Melvin been hit by of late or even in his career that makes you think he can take a punch.
Lawler has banged with some power punchers and even beaten some.
I will take the odds in this one.

manhoef is weird...i watched him whack guys brutally...and watched him whacked just as brutally(granted, some were bigger guys in k-1)....

i don`t blame anyone a bit for taking lawler...he has a great chin...he`s calm...technically pretty good...a lefty...taller...

but he lacks intensity early...and coasts too much...and i don`t think he`s a thinking fighter..

i should put something on him because like kick says,if this goes into the second or 3rd,manhoef is in trouble...

i see so much i like in the next 2 months in mma and boxing,i just can`t pull the trigger tonight...

Also if Lawler is not expecting Melvin to come out throwing like crazy early then he is dumber than Melvin.
Like Kick said, Manhoef has to get it done in round 1 or early round 2 because he will gas and Lawler will not. I expect Melvin to win round 1 as it might be about survival at times for Lawler if he doesn't come out throwing.
2nd round on should be all Lawler.
