Robbie Lawler vs. Renato "Babalu" Sobral (195-pound catchweight fight)
Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos vs. Marius Zaramoskis
Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley
Conor Heun vs. K.J. Noons
PRELIMINARY CARD

R.J. Clifford vs. Jeremy Umphries

how the hell is little zaromskis fighting 205 pounder santos...at welter?....santos is cutting to 170 from 205?....

how is that possible?...

I had a future parlay with KJ over Crazy Horse, but that has been nixed
and Heun, I think, poses a very different match

not sure what to make of main event...after losing on manhoef, i think i am done with lawler fights

i had same question as you GW about santos...how can he make that weight?

Is anyone excited to see this? I don't know if I'll even watch it. Sobral is trash and I lost any interest in Lawler after his last defeat to a POS. I bought the hype on Zaromskis until he fought in Strikeforce....then I saw he is just another mediocre fighter.

I wish someone with a brain would take over Strikeforce.

i have to disagree with my compadre gmro...i kind of like this card as a wednesday night diversion....and the main reason is that these aren`t cans...and they are competitive match-ups.....i think losing that clown crazy horse is addition by subtraction...

if somebody has 4 sure fire winners, please come hither and make some new friends for life....:0052 ...

Strikeforce puts on entertaining shows just about every time out.
What exactly will you be watching on a Wednesday night at 11 eastern?
This card is not much worse than the UFC card this coming Saturday. Hamill vs Jardine as a headliner? Color me not excited, but will still watch.

I think mma is in good shape when we can start to complain about cards that are taking place on Weds night. I don't care if this was Big Country MMA, if it's free and on tv I'm watching it. Now some of the PPVs are a different story.

The Middle will be over before Strikeforce card even starts on Showtime.
At least in normal time zones.

Well, 11 EST is 8 PST. That's when that gem, The Middle comes on here. I do hope you caught the sarcasm in that post, BTW.

While we're here, what happened to Teddy KGB??? You can splash the pot in your club whenever the fuck you want. :00hour

I started losing avatar wagers left and right and never went back to it.
Still searching for the right one.

Yeah, you got off pretty easy with the Texas Tech swim team. Shit, we should all be so lucky when it comes to losing avatar bets.

I guess it's good for me because whenever I saw your avatar it made me want to watch the movie. I've seen it about 20 times... that's plenty.

Like Sobral in this one. He has solid wrestling and submission. The danger is he try's to stand with Lawler. The longer the fight goes it favours Lawler who has good TD defense but I think Sobral can get it to the ground and get the sub.

Thinking of Santos. MZ is the better striker but he is going to be way smaller than the boy from Brazil

i remember a strong 205`er dropping to middleweight(not welter like santos) and looking like he had dysentery.....james irvin...

being bigger doesn`t automatically mean you have the advantage if you`re totally drained making weight...

if he makes the weight easily(we`re talking 170),god bless him....

but, zaromskis looks mighty easy to take down....if cyborg even does that...he`s supposedly a black belt(kinda like wanderlei silva is a black belt)...

Santos is listed at 5"10 - he could even be 5'9 so getting to WW should be no problem for him

the Lawler/Sobral fight will be at 195 so wonder what RL's cardio will be like as this weight

i`m kind of agreeing a bit on sobral....gotta believe he`ll get this to the ground as quickly as humanly possible....

not many fair that well in striking matches with lawler...and lawler`s sub defense isn`t exactly legendary....

lets hope all babalu`s neurons are firing on wednesday night...
