2009 record 13-4 +29.01 units

Getting this in now.

Shields +105 2units

Parlay
Diaz- 325
Arvloski -400 risking 1 for .63 units

I really like this parlay, I may throw more down on it.

I was suprised during the weigh-ins at the size of Shields compared to Lawler. I was already going to be on Shields but I put another 1 on him because of that. For some reason I thought he would be smaller but he wasn't.

forgot to mention, I will be rooting for Riggs like I've never rooted for someone before(with or without money on them). Baroni is someone I can't stand and after the weigh ins I can't stand him even more. Riggs seems like a good guy and doesn't act like a tool so here's to him KOOOOOOOOOOOOing Baroni. :mj06:

The Baroni arrogance is amazing to me. He losses so much yet comes back talking about how great he is and how he is gonna do this and that. It has run its course with me,but I don't want him to go away because I enjoy watching him get pounded for some reason.
Putting in plays now.

Ok here we go:

Straight Plays:

Joe "Diesel" Riggs(+105) over Baroni for 200 wins 210. Got it 2 days ago and line is now Diesel -145.:) I think I have said more than enough about the NY Dumbass and Diesel looked good at weigh in.

Jake Shields(+108) over Robbie Lawler for 100 wins 108.

PARLAY:

Nick Diaz
Feijao
Randleman
100 wins 244

Nick Diaz
Feijao
Arlovski

i`m goosed about this card....every main card fight is interesting....and the dogs aren`t set-ups...they match-up well with the faves.....

i have no doubt we`re gonna see some serious throw down tonight....

still can`t believe that shields is the dog...on him at -105 and +105...much respect for lawler..one of my faves to watch...but,styles make fights...

took whitehead-115 small because he`s really been on a roll and randleman is old, inactive and 17-12 overall....he looks like a beast, but he can be had...and based on his record,is "had" on a fairly regular basis...

very small "wing and a prayer" doggie play on rogers+300...longshot...but arlovski`s chin ain`t exactly granite.....

baroni/riggs....toss a coin....i`m not playing this type of fight anymore...the reward is minimal and it`s basically a crap shoot...like layin`,i`ll be rooting for riggs...it`s just that i`ve mostly only seen him vs the guys he loses to(hughes/sanchez/swick..the upper echelon)....so,(maybe unfairly),i have a bad vibe about putting money on the guy...

also have brown and a grispi/gamburyan par tomorrow night...

g.l......

I am a little worried about Randleman inactive stint, but he looks in great shape(as always) and for his 17-12 record. Look at his losses. I mean come on.
Whitehead is tough and I was just kidding about the picture because he always looks like that.

Look at Randleman's last 10 losses and tell me who he was supposed to beat other than maybe Nakamura(who is better than Whitehead):
Shogun, Nakamura, Cro Cop, Waterman, Fedor, Sakuraba, Rampage, Liddell, Couture, Bas Rutten.

Old: yes
Layoff: yes
Questionable record: NO WAY.

chop the head off and he looks like fedor...

Give Randleman 3:00 minutes and he will test your theory.:mj07:

Whitehead is getting suplexed tonight.

And hey don't say Randleman is old because he is only 2 months older than me and I can't accept being old.:nono:

randleman can definitely win...take whitehead down and g& p him or grind out a win....that`s why the odds are close...

i`m on shields pretty good but i`m worried that a long fight doesn`t favor him.....lawler`s a plugger...he doesn`t seem to get discouraged(he did a little vs diaz) anymore....

shields needs to try and submit lawler or keep him on the ground.. he`s capable of doing both....and lawler`s been subbed several times...

he could be(all due respect to gsp)the best technical wrestler in mma...

On Inside mma last night Baus was saying something about Randleman last night that wasn't to promising. Something about him getting married or going to a wedding while he was training. Baus finally said that Randleman has great talent and could get away with doing something like this. Wonder if Kick or Muhr heard this? I hate to put something out there that im not more positive about. If i get a chance i will see if i still have it taped and get the story completely straight unless one of u guys can bring it up from some site.

If I had to bet it would be on Randleman. The talent he's faced is as good as anyone in the sport. As a matter of fact if you look at this oppenents I'm not so sure anyone has faced a tougher test of fighters than him. Especially when you consider at what point in their careers he fought them.

His big weakness is subs but I don't think Whitehead has a enough of a sub game to do it. If Randleman wasn't such a wack job I would be taking him but as is I'm just looking for a good slam or two. We'll see how much being off the juice hurts his slams(assuming he was on juice in Japan, he's not near as massive as he was over there)

I'm staying away from the Riggs fight and the Whitehead fight

My plays:

MEDIUM
Shields

LARGE PARLAY
Arlovski
Cavalcante

LARGE PARLAY
Nate Diaz
Cavalcante

Basically, if Feijao goes down I am screwed. Does anyone know if his fight is televised or on the off TV undercard?

the whitehead bet is my smallest...just going on newton`s first law.......whitehead has won something like 15 of his last 16...

but anytime you have this kind of althleticism disadvantage, you can lose......maybe get blown out...

that`s why i`m playing whitehead as a throwaway...an afterthought...

i`m really surprised at the odds...i figured everybody would be all over randleman...maybe that`s a good thing...if the odds had been generous on whitehead,i might have put a little more on it...

i don`t see smith beating diaz...but the possiblity of a cut..and the long odds...put this one outside of my budget....

I want to bet on Arlovski, but the Carwin (undefeated) vs Gonzaga fight keeps coming to mind. Very similar situation in my opinion. The favorite has been beaten up and is probably less confident then they have ever been.

I might make a small play on Rogers, just bc I can see Arlovski getting KTFO.

i`m not trying to make a case for whitehead, but look at HIS losses...sobral,jardine,vera,tim sylvia twice....some guy named paz from brazil in his 5th fight...the guy has 13 subs(only 2 are striking subs)....

he doesn`t lose to garbage...

it should be competitive...

I am shocked so many people are afraid to bet against Baroni. Did he get good when I wasn't looking.:142smilie
I know Riggs is hit or miss at times but he packs a punch and Baroni will fold like a tent.

Feijao fight is not on televised card. It will be a filler at best and I doubt they even have a filler on Showtime.

And GW you said Whitehead doesn't lose to garbage but then said he lost to Vera. Make up your mind.:mj07:
