Sponge: How do you rate this against UFC 98? I think UFC 98 blew this away. The Diaz/Smith fight was awesome, but the rest were less than exciting.

I feel pretty lucky. After Lawler manhandled him on the first takedown attempt I really felt like I was in for a losing night.

You may hate him but Diaz is a beast. He's getting better and his body is starting to mature. He's not near as skinny as he use to be. This will only give his punches more power. He really has a complete game. I don't like him but I can't see too many people beating him.

gmroz....Sponge hates every UFC card....UFC 1 to 98, he hates em all. Every fighter in the UFC sucks according to Sponge. Dana sucks, the management sucks, Joe Silva sucks, in fact every single person associated with the UFC sucks. And yes UFC 100 sucks according to Sponge.

As for Diaz, I disagree with you when you ask "who's going to beat him"? Answer tons of guys. Diaz says he wants to fight at Welterweight now. Well at Welterweight all these guys beat Diaz:
Georges St. Pierre, Jon Fitch, Thiago Alves, Jake Shields, Mike Swick, Dustin Hazelett, Josh Koscheck, Marcus Davis, Thiago Alves, Martin Kampmann, Carlos Condit and more.

Riggs looked terrific I thought, and to hear him after the fight was very nice! He is bizarro Nick Diaz, and it was refreshing. To think this guy started out over 300 pounds! He's also so young; he'll be 27 this year, and he's already had over 40 fights. WOW! I hope he continues to succeed.
Scott Smith is one of my favorite fighters, but he just couldn't get on track with Diaz. I thought Diaz looked terrific, but he is a Grade A DICK. What a pompous blowhard jerk. Still, he has tons of talent, and I think he can beat just about everybody anywhere at this weight.

nick has that chip on his shoulder and that the way he carries himself
luckily for lawler he got choked out by shields, shields vs diaz much better fight than rematch one dimensional brawler lawler
