Thanks....we appreciate the thoughts after the fight. I for one especially thank you. I should have waited until after the fight before I wagered. Silly me.

What was I thinking.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Here we go!! I think after Overeem wins, he'll take on Fedor.
Fedor wont fight him because he thinks hes on roids.

But I am curious what you saw in Rogers?

to be fair, the guy`s one of the biggest cheats in sport...3 years ago he was losing at 205 to guys like rua kharnitov and arona..

he was a guy who seldom beat the top tier talent....chuck liddell stopped him....

the fact that he `s doping is probably the worst kept secret in sport...

...this guy is the poster child proving all those that say that "steroids and growth hormone can`t make a good fighter great" are wrong.......

he`s living,breathing proof...

Bad news is my selections went 1-2.
Good news is I finished up +10 thanks to Big Foot.

To ask what people saw in Rogers is foolish.
He is a HUGE puncher who can end the fight with one shot.
He looked defeated before the fight even started and a big puncher like him can't fight on his heels.

He should have been the guy attacking instead of retreating.

I thought Overeem would win but gave Rogers a punchers chance with those odds.
Like I said a takedown and this fight is over and that is what happened.

Record since start of 09 31-21 +33.94 units

Opinions 2-4 +.80(always .5 unit plays)

Overroids -270 3units
AA -165 1unit

Parlay
Gracie -435
Souza -495 1unit for .47

Think what you want of Overeem but he's a lot better fighter than Rogers whether it be standing or on the ground. I hate to risk so much on a fav like that but Rogers just doesn't deserve this. If AA doesn't take him lightly and fight stupid then we would never be seeing this line.

Damnitt AA has cost me some money. Either for him or against him, I just can't win. I loved Overeem and I should have just stuck with that bet but I thought AA learned and wanted to be a contender. DAMNITT I'm pissed.

NOthing like a winning night that feels like crap.

Arlovski is such a done fighter. Really sad how he has fallen from the best to just pretty much non-competitive. In the UFC at 21, wins the belt at 24, and now, at only 31 can't beat anybody.

What has happened to him? This guy used to strike absolute fear and terror in his opponents. I think it HAS TO BE HIS HEAD! Maybe if he got a good 'life coach' or some psychotherapy he could snap out of this. He should have at the least 5 more good years in front of him. Hope he can turn it around someway. I've always liked him, but the pitbull has really turned into a poodle. Heck, maybe he was just roided up before and that's why he was so good? Hard for me to explain it.

Six, I've wondered what's wrong with AA. IMO since his fights with Tim he hasn't been the same. Actually both of them seem to have gone the same route, they fight very safe and not to lose. The only time I think I've seen AA attack in his last 5-6 fights is against Fedor and he looked GREAT until he got stupid.

Hopefully the Rogers hype train will die now. He's had a one punch career vs what looks like a washed up AA.

Overeem hits harder than most from the top position. Roids or no roids I like watching him fight. I wish they would have stood more, I wanted to see some KNEES.

Fedor will tap Overeem quick and it won't be funny. The UFC needs to add both Fedor and Overeem. Damn the HW division would be stacked if they did. Plus those two aren't wrestlers like all of the UFC HWs seem to be now.

Lets be real here. Anyone who bet Fedor over Rodgers was shittin their pants in that match. Rodgers gave Fedor a very good match. The guy does deserve some props. He isn't a total fraud

Some observations...

Some observations...

I attended the fights last evening and had some very good seats. Here are some of my thoughts.....

--- Shaolin Ribiero got ROBBED. Seriously. Not because I had money on him either.
First round was more or less a stalemate. The guys clinched and threw the occasional knee here and there. 10-10 in my opinion.

2nd round Beerbohm nearly got submitted about 5 times from different transitions. He was gassed and Shaolin was extremely active from the bottom. The striking was fairly even on the feet but Beerbohm got worked on the ground. 10-9 or 10-8 IMO Shaolin

3rd round was a bit more even. Shaolin had some sub attempts early that had Beerbohm in mild danger. Shaolin worked from his back most of the round and was attacking while beerbohm landed abslutely nothing from the top. His offense was nullified completely. 10-9 Shaolin
Crowd booed the decision, they knew who won (neither fighter was local either)

-- Britt/Feijao was a fun fight. Both fighters traded and got caught a few times. Ultimately Feijao rocked Britt pretty good and his follow up was very accurate. Very nice KO and a good win.

--Daniel Gracie is raw but his ground game is top-notch. Randleman showed no initiative in exploiting Gracies weakness (striking). For all his athletic power and experience- he's unbettable because he never seems to use his ring smarts.

--I'm not sure if Jacare took Joey V lightly or Joey's submission defense is alot better than we thought (and we knew it was good anyways). Jacare was winded and took some shots that were cause for concern. He got lucky IMO

---Bigfoot was pretty sharp. I knew he'd be ready when i saw him at the weigh ins. I thought he'd catch AA at some point but didnt think he'd consistently beat AA to the punch. Very good win.

--Overeem looked good and took it to Rogers. He'll be tough to beat and I think he's a legitimate threat to Fedor. K-1 level striking, Abu Dhabi level grappling, world class experience. I hope that fight happens.

Dos Santos and Carwin are more strikers than wrestlers.. imo

JDS is a striker but calling Carwin a striker is a stretch. He has some bombs but I can promise you if he's in the ring with JDS or Overeem he's taking it to the ground. I agree he has heavy hands but that's about it.
