ok, pls explain why you think miami will beat Atlanta.

Atl has one of the strongest running attacks in the league. The fish are a little light upfront - this was shown when KC ran all over them a few weeks back.

The only other ones I may disagree with are Baltimore and Tampa Bay :)

Puckfan,

You are right, Atlanta can run the football! Don't forget, Miami can run the football too. The Dolphins are averaging 117 rushing yards per game on 4.6 yards per carry. Also, Atlanta's rushing attack might be less dominant against Miami's aggressive run defense. Jason Taylor is extremely fast and athletic. He will do a great job containing Vick. Miami has played well at home this year. The Dolphins beat Denver and Carolina in their house. Miami has a chance to get back to .500 with a victory on Sunday, and I think that will be enough motivation to propel the Fish to an upset win. Oh, one more thing, the public is all over Atlanta! Good luck if you decide to play this game!

Fairy Dust,

The Bucs/Panthers game was really difficult to cap! These two teams have a lot in common. Chris Simms at quarterback worries me a little bit, but the Bucs have been more successful running the football this year than the Panthers. The Bucs are averaging 125 rushing yards per game on 4.1 yards per carry. The Panthers are averaging 93 rushing yards per game on 3.1 yards per carry. I will side with the better rushing team at home. Also, this game should come down to a field goal, and Bryant has been more consistent than Kasay this year. Not to mention, it seems like the public is siding with Carolina at a rather large rate. Good luck to you!

RTL: I'd appreciate if you could give the rationale on why the Ravens team may win

I think Cincy leads the league in INTs and Anthony Wright is well Anthony Wright. Jamal Lewis hasn't done squat this year and i guess my question boils down to how do you think the Ravens can score points to win this game S/U ?

Canabiz,

The Ravens scored 19 points against Pittsburgh's defense on the road. The Steelers' defense is better than the Bengals' defense. Anthony Wright won't turn the ball over in this game because the Ravens are going to pound the ball down Cincy's throat with Lewis and Taylor. Run defense is the Bengals' biggest weakness, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens run the ball close to 40 times on Sunday. The Bengals' offense won't be on the field much, so it better take advantage of the limited opportunities it will have. Honestly, do you really think Cincy is going to be 7-2 after 9 weeks? The Bengals are a good football team, but they aren't that good! I think Baltimore will be inspired by its Monday performance in Pittsburgh, and the Ravens will ride Lewis and Taylor to a 7-10 point victory. The public is playing Cincy of course!

Agreed on Baltimore. Cincy is overrated. They had 5 picks against Farve and scored 21 points. 21 points???

Yeah, the only reason Green Bay didn't win that game is because the Packers have absolutely no running game! Look, every good team loses to an inferior team or two during the season. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it just happens in the NFL. This is one of those weeks for the Bengals!

Thanks for your input RTL

A tad concerned with the 5-2 Seahawks only favored by 4 over the 2-5 Cards. What's your thoughts on this ? Trap or not ?

Could it be something like last week's Jaguars at Rams where Jax let Rams hang around till the end...

Canabiz,

I understand your concern. Seattle hasn't played well on the road in recent years. The Seahawks are coming off a bye so they might be a little rusty. Also, Seattle killed Arizona 37-12 at home in the first meeting, so the players might overlook the Cards in this contest. However, I still wouldn't play Arizona straight up. Warner returns at QB for the Cardinals on Sunday, so who knows what we're going to get from him? Arizona has absolutely no running game! I'm sure Seattle will come after slow-footed Warner constantly since there will be no threat of Shipp and Arrington doing anything on the ground. I don't think the Cardinals can beat a good Seattle team by throwing the ball all day, especially without Boldin. Shaun Alexander scored 4 touchdowns the first time these two teams hooked up! I don't think he'll score 4 this time, but he should run for at least 125 yards with two scores. Seattle should be able to move the ball down the field consistently against this defense. Seattle straight up or pass!
