this looks like about the most boring final 4 they could have dreamed up. at least to me. i can't get excited about either matchup. penn st was given a dream run here, through SMU and boise, for cryin' out loud. while ND got a home game against an overmatched indiana and then was outclassed by a meh georgia team with a qb making his first college start. the ND offense was, well, offensive. their best plays were a couple leonard scrambles.
oh well, nobody asked ol' smitty who should be here.
such a great character, especially for someone who started out soooooo goddamn evil.

No Alabama’s , no Clemson’s in other words no super team? I was impressed by the Irish coaching staff excellent job imo…
nah. what set those great teams of the last decade or so apart was that they had DOMINANT defenses and excellent offenses. i haven't seen anything remotely resembling that this year. can you see any of those teams losing at home to Northern Illinois?
here's who we have left this year....
penn st. biggest wins... illinois, SMU, and boise.
ND. put up 240 yards of offense and 14 first downs against a georgia defense that wasn't great this year.
texas. should have lost to the fightin' skattebos. and proved they couldn't beat georgia.
ohio st. 2nd best team in a surprisingly weak big 10. couldn't beat a very weak michigan team in a huge rivalry game. at home.
to your point, freeman might be the best coach of the 4 remaining. but i think that's a pretty low bar.
hey, one of these teams is gonna be national champs. i just don't think any of them are nearly as good as the dominant teams we've seen in recent years.
i think it will be funny if ohio st wins it. because then they're gonna be stuck with Day for a while.
anyway, obviously all just my opinion. and we all know what they say about opinions...
