The last time I went against Klitschko he took my money Vs Lemon Brewster.

But Brewster did not even show up and just gave up in the fight, never throwing any punchs.

I dont think we will see that with Sultan. He is strong with his punchs from both hands and is capable of grazing Wlad K on the chin which will send Wlad down.

Sultan also goes to the body very well. If he is patient , he can bring Wlad hands down, get inside the long jab..... and Boom !

Down Goes Frazier ! Down Goes Frazer !

Its a punchers chance for Sultan and I am willing to take this risk in this fight.

I think Sultan has a very good chance to knock Wlad out after round 6.

I like the way Sultan handled Lance Whitiker who is a tall fighter. Sultan punished the body as you can see when Lance keeps grabbing his trunks, indicating that shit hurts.

And when Sultan sees Lance stumble, he jumps on him and knocks him the fawk down.

Sultan evaded the long jab very well, and circled to the right mostly, staying away from the right hand.

We all know that the right hand is Wlad KO punch.

Sultan is able to open a cut in round 7 and the bout is stopped.

Wlad chin is very suspect. Sultan is a tough som bitch with a solid chin.

It seems simple enough.

Sultan does not have a chance in this fight. He is not going to beat him on points and the guy is simply not a knockout fighter.

In his defense he has a perfect record, that draw with Austin was bullsh!t.

Wlad is way too active and is not going to lose on points. The way to possibly beat him is by knocking him out, and Sultan is just not that kind of fighter.

Agree. This is a whole different level of opposition for Ibrag. He is facing a monster who is determined.

Sultan Ibragimov Date of Birth: March 8, 1975
.................................................................

Sultan knocked Ray Austin down in round 4 of their fight. Austin is very difficult to knock down.
One of the few times Austin has been down. Klit also KOd Austin in Round 1, but he should have.

I like to see fighters with a high percentage of KOs on their bio. It takes something special to get the KO. They dont always happen, but the fighter has got to have the strength and instincts if the opportunity presents itself.

Sultan hits Wlad with one good shot, and follows up with relentless punchs, then Wlad K
is taking a canvas nap for about ten minutes.

Sultan Ibragimov

Professional career

On July 28, 2007, Sultan's record became 19-0-1 when he fought to a draw with Ray Austin in a grueling 12 round IBF heavyweight title eliminator.

Despite the draw against Ray Austin, Ibragimov received a title shot from another sanctioning organization, the WBO. He was scheduled to challenge Shannon Briggs for the WBO heavyweight title on March 10, 2007, but because Briggs became ill with pneumonia, Ibragimov instead faced Javier Mora at Madison Square Garden in New York on that date. Ibragimov knocked out Mora 46 seconds into the first round. This win broke the record for the quickest knockout in a main event bout in Madison Square Garden, which was previously held by Lee Savold who defeated Buddy Walker in 1948.

Ibragimov, improved his record to 21-0-1, after beating Shannon Briggs by unanimous decision and capturing the WBO heavyweight title in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 2, 2007.

On October 13, 2007, Sultan Ibragimov won his first title defense against Evander Holyfield by unanimous decision[1] for the WBO heavyweight title at Khodynka Arena in Moscow, Russia.[2]

Ibragimov will fight Wladimir Klitschko on February 23, 2008 at Madison Square Garden. This fight will be a unification bout laying the two fighters' IBF, IBO, and WBO titles on the line.

Trivia

He is only the fifth southpaw heavyweight champion in history.[3] The others are Michael Moorer, Corrie Sanders, Chris Byrd, and Ruslan Chagaev.

Sultan has not ducked anyone, if anything fighters have made sure not to schedule him on their fight nights.

unify titles is a good thing , it gets the best in the ring at the same time.

Klit didnt knock Austin out in the first round, it was the second. The draw with Austin was BS, I think I had Sultan winning that fight 116-112, worst case scenario 115-113. However, he barely got by Austin who Klit just destroyed. I know styles make fights but Iggy doesnt even have the style to beat Klit.

I think Klitschko will win.

But I'm not sure who to bet on.

I think this fight could very well go some rounds, if Iggy uses his legs.

Wladimir doesnt have a good chin, but Sultan isnt a big puncher....

But holy chit you guys. If you dont think that Sultan isnt a big puncher, I have to say your wrong.

No Sultan cant punch. Lets see one of us try to knock this guy down like a chump.

Notice at 24 seconds the tremendous body shot Sultan delivers as he approachs the hurt fighter. Hot damn is all I can say !

at 40 seconds the guys face is bright red !

It was a tune up fight but you got to be able to deliver the goods, and Sultan did.

Sultan punchs from all angles and that is what may
be Wlad downfall. Sultan is just as hungry to win this fight as Wlad. This is for another belt, big time future money, and unification .

Motivation will not be a problem.

" Ibragimov is a natural left-hander who carries a good punch in each fist; He is not a polished boxer but generates action with his style; He is light on his feet, moves quickly and has a solid chin. "

" Sultan Ibragimov is one of the most exciting top 10 heavyweight contenders in the world today. The unbeaten 2000 Olympic silver medalist fights with a ferocious fury, with devastating power and handspeed. " :SIB :00hour :SIB

Boxinginsider: Is this true that you knocked out your two name sparring partners on the last day of sparring before the win vs. Lance Whitaker? What were their names?

Sultan Ibragimov: "I can't tell you about my sparring partners. Because they helped me for fights. This is confidential information. I respect these guys because they help me very much."
He knocks out his sparring partners :scared

Boxinginsider: IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko has looked awesome in his last two fights. He's big and effective but you don't seem overly impressed by Klitschko. Your comment.

Sultan Ibragimov: "Klitschko is a good fighter. Lots of experience, good jab. He's got good skills. He showed he can come back from losses. We'll decide after my next fight. I feel very good. I feel I win over each fighter. I feel very good. I feel I beat everybody. After this next fight I'll be ready for Klitschko. I know I can beat him right now."

Confidence is a must in the fight business.

There is nothing funny about the sport of boxing

Another thing I like about Ibragimov is I have seen him pull dirty tricks in the ring. He will head butt and cause cuts like Holyfield did in his prime, and
Klit has deep scar tissue over that left eye.

Sultan often gets warned about low blows.

:00hour

If all else fails , hit him in the Klit . Sultan !:0corn

Sultan has only stopped 1 of his last 4 opponents as the competition continues to get tougher. Its not about 'how many' he's stopped, its all about Who he has stopped. Anyone with talent can stop a tomato can, it doesn't take much power. Look at his record, alot of tko's there, as opposed to one punch ko's. I'm not saying he doesn't have any power, just don't see him as a "big puncher" with "real ko power"

Sultan's handspeed is his best asset

I believe the value play is sultan inside.
I am not so worried about the punching power of Sultan, if he hits Klitschko with a clean straight left we will see what happens.

I believe southpaws have a better chance aginst Wlad because they can force Wlad to use more than his jab.
The way Sanders knocked down Wlad was not to jump on him but to let him come and go in a shoot out straight left against straight right.
The post Sanders Wlad is very careful with his right hands.
If you see anything in the 700 range i advice a small play.
