Games every three days until the final and for the teams that have their sights on a medal, squad management and rotation will be crucial. US / France is what the final should look like but the game is a four hour plane ride from Rio in the Amazon. Andrea Pirlo who has to come back after 5 days rest in the 2014 World Cup to lead his Italian side to a loss against Costa Rica remarked that there were two world cups taking place. One in the temperate south and one in the oppressive heat in the north. I'll be going against everyone coming off of a game in Manaus in this tourney but also expect this game to be steady and cagey.

What Zimbabwe lacks in technical abilities, they make up in athleticism and kicking the shit out of their opponent. Canada's best bet long term is to keep this game calm and clinical. Going to wait to see if the line moves to 4 before I play.

Heat will start affecting most teams and USA doesn't have the ability to go over the midfield against France and isn't having any success building the attack. Hope Solo looks as solid as ever.
