where do EITHER of these defenses rank to hold you back???? Favre in one of his last games at Lambeau...win or lose, he WILL put up some points against this defense at home

from the Weather Channel
Snow showers at times. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens.

yeah so much for this smash. I got drunk to celebrate being done my first last school final. The drunk plays are the best plays though sometimes, so I'm sticking with it....anyone think I should buy it back?

I wouldnt rely on a weather report 4 days in advance. Hell, I wouldnt believe them if they said it was going to snow tomorrow, let alone Sunday.

But its Green Bay in December, odds are there will be snow in the air and on the ground, and the temp wont be above 20 degrees for a night game. I dont need a weather forecast to tell me that.

The Lions have played UNDER in 3 of their last 4 games...the Packers have played UNDER in 6 of their last 7 outings...these teams have played UNDER in 3 of their last 4 meetings in Green Bay...the Packers beat the Lions 16-13 last year in Green Bay and Detroit beat the Packers 17-3 back on opening day (9/11/05) in Detroit...

I don't like the game myself...but with those trends stacked agaimst you...I'd think about buying it back and eating the juice!
:yup

Not to bust this bubble even more but the Packers are #1 against the pass. 167 per and detroit throws for 176 per,

Thanks for the help, but how does that exploit a weakness? Something like that, average yardage for and against, is already IMPLICIT in the total.

The fact that you have a bad passing offense going against a good pass defense on one side of the ball, is already reflected in a total that is OVER 5 points LOWER than the NFL average.

Det PPG for 16 Against 20
GB PPG for 20 Against 20

those stats are a little more meaningful IMO...they suggest a total between 36-40. If each team can pull their average score, against slightly below average defenses, you get your 36. Personally, in my drunken stupor when I made this bet, I thought Favre could have a big game. Hes only got 2 home games left after this, the BEARS and SEAHAWKS, lets face it. This might be the last HOME GAME HE EVER WINS!!! Maybe he looks good doing it and finally puts up some points

I'm with you on the over Derek, may be taking GB as well. I was thinking of the same mind in that Farve will have a good day and put up at least 28 points. GL :lol2

Yeah, I actually saw some ENCOURAGING news today in the form of random statistics :)

GB is averaging 28 PPG at home against the Lions since 2000. Obviously those were all playoff teams, this year's version wont win 4 games. Take that for what its worth though. If Favre is gonna have one last magical game, it sure as hell isnt gonna be against Seattle or Chicago. Might as well be tomorrow night, right??

PLEASE nobody bash this wager with legitimate statistics, i made this bet when i was wasted, and i'm just trying to give myself some hope now.

Its the bets that you overanalyze you have to worry about...the ones like this that you are doubting are the ones that usually hit-
