Sunday

2* Washington -2.5 It's just impossible to go against Spurrier right now. This is his first game at home and he will want to impress the fans. This play is based upon Spurrier wanting to win. QB rotation is probably about even. Edge to Pittsburgh in the first half with Stewart over Wuerffel and Rosenfels. Edge to Washington in the 2nd half with Matthews over Batch and Martin.
Spurrier should get his win in the front of the home faithful.

Have a great day.

Not bustin your balls or anything but how in the F**K does Spurrier get put up on such a high pedestal so early in the season. You said the play is based on Spurrier wanting to win. Does his will to win out weigh the wills of Bill Cower,Cordell, the bus and the best pass defense in the NFL? Don't get me wrong I have a lot of respect for Mr Spurrier and his accomplishments but by no means is he a freakin god with a bunch of hasbin QB's and recievers nobody else wanted. Just my Opinion. Im taking the steelers this evening BIG. I wish you well with your plays

No Problem

No Problem

Not a problem. But this is the preseason. Coaches have a lot more control in the preseason. That is the reason for putting so much stock in Spurrier wanting to win his first home game. And also keep in mind it is only a 2*.

Have a great day.

Steeler defense will put the breaks on the Redskin bandwagon. Washington may cover...but i doubt they will go over the 42 1/2:)

I have to disagree with you guys and please don't take this the wrong way I'm not looking for an argument. A very close friend of mine (female) who is closely linked to Dan Snider. told me that Dan wanted to win every preseason game so that winning attitude would set the tone for the entire season. Not only that she told me that he was sick of the media's personal assault on him and winning and winning big would maybe have them focusing on Spurrier and not his so called dictatorship. Make no bones about it Washington wants to win and win big. Can they do it against Pitts, in the regular season I doubt it. But in preseason, pitts coach is to smart to risk injury. Plus he has a great excuse and can save face. I look for high scoring game. And I think wash will pull out a victory.

Its okay...no offense taken. That's why we love to wager. If your girlfriend is right... we ought to have her number on speeddial throughout the season, its always nice to have inside information.

Good luck.. and I like Denver monday night as well

i'd like to add a few things here:
the high and might spurrier and his redskins are on a very nice roll here! but this is gambling what we are talking about! has anyone noticed the line movement on this game? from was -4 it is now was-2'. there is a reason for that! i feel that if washington was the play tonite this line would still be @-4 or even higher! i post @ a few different sites and seems like the betting is on washington!
the way i see tonites game is pittsburgh will play this game very hard to the end,and will stop this high flying machine! like QL said this is the best "d' in the nfl-bar none! and i do expect them to play and cowher is no dummy-i think he will have them, ready for this contest no matter what!

pittsburgh and the under i feel is the wtg-here

thomas gl -on ur play though! this is just my own capping philosophy on this game tonite

Thomas really feel you are dead on tonight and I wish you Well. I love when the public is betting against my play. We all know the general public always loses. Jmizeus, even though I disagree with both of your plays good luck, unfortunately I will be rooting against you. Maybe we will pound the book tomorrow with Denver.

Had the right idea

Had the right idea

Had the right idea. 7 turnovers just too much to overcome for a cover but they still win. Did take the Skins at the half but will not count it since I did not post it. An instance where I perhaps should have played the moneyline since I just felt Spurrier would do what it took to win.

Thanks for all the support and comments for and against the game. Always good to hear both sides.

Back Monday maybe - if not later in the week.

Everyone have a successful week ahead.

Thomas, You almost got that game back. It was decided in the very last minute. I truly believe if it were a regular season game washington never would have gotten a sniff. But as you said(this is only preseason)This bunch of hasbins that Spurrier has put together will have their moments of brillance , but in the long run they will disappoint. Spurrier will need a few years to get the proper talent in place , then he has a chance at greatness. I envision his team when it matures being like the St Louis Rams.
