UNLV could be the worst coached team in the entire nation this year. Last week they got beat by Utah State after basically controling the game. This team sat down and thought of all the ways to lose the game and then did it to perfection. I wonder if they guys even practice at all during the week. With all that said am I crazy cause I have money on UNLV maybe but , they have some real good athletes they are going to have to win soon and the wolfpack is the victim.
In a stunning reversal from last year?s 4-1 eye-catching start, winless UNLV (0-4/0-1) looks to earn its
first victory of the season when it hosts WAC member Nevada, Reno (2-2/0-1) Saturday night in the
final non-conference game for both schools ... The Rebels will look to avoid starting a season 0-5 for the
first time under John Robinson and third time in history (1996 & ?98) ... The 30th Battle for the Fremont
Cannon will only be televised in Reno ... Last week UNLV lost its sixth consecutive home game 31-21 to
Utah State ... The Wolf Pack will be playing a MWC team for the second straight week after falling 27-
10 Saturday at San Diego State ... UNLV looks to win its fifth straight over UNR for the first time ever ...
Robinson is 4-1 all-time vs. UNR while Pack head man and former UNLV assistant Chris Ault is 7-6 vs.
the Rebels (3-4 in Las Vegas) ... Including a 4-0 record vs. UNR, the Rebels are 6-0 vs. WAC teams
since leaving the conference after the 1998 season ... A year ago, UNLV was 3-1 and receiving votes in
both national polls when it faced the Pack ... UNLV was the only team in the nation to open the season
playing on the road against two ranked opponents and its four opponents so far this fall boast a combined
record of 11-4 ... With the 0-4 start, UNLV?s all-time record in football now stands at 201-203-4
dipping the Rebels below the .500 mark as a program for the first time in history.
If UNLV is going to scrape anything out of this season they need to beat the Wolfpack.
