Sponge.........you are wrong....according to Sportsnet.ca at time of fights and according to rankings from Sherdog/MMA Weekly/Sportsnet Nick has never fought anyone in top 10 since Gomi in 2007.

That is a fact.

Yes ranking are subjective but if you are sticking with rankings then that is a fact.

Bottom line Nick has fought shit competition, nobody would argue that.

I mean go look at who Nick has fought since 2007....it is pretty fucking pathetic.

I hope GSP fights Nick......all as I am saying is that it is a joke for him to fight GSP. No way in fuck he deserves it.

And I'll say it again.......I want Nick to fight GSP.

WHO FOCKING CARES!!!! At least he brings it, is exciting, and everybody wants to see him fight!! GSP could learn a lot from him. MMA fans are sick of these stupid wrestlers that just lay there and don't finish a fight. I will say that GSP isn't anywhere near as bad as King Mo. That fight with Mousasi was probably the most brutally boring fight of all time.

Again Kick Daley fought for the number one contender spot in the UFC. If u are fighting for the number one spot u are top ten. Diaz beat him in round one when the other number one contender Koshchek laid on him for three rounds because he was scared to stand with him. Noons is a professional boxer and Marius Zaromskis? i recall u saying he was gonna destroy Nick and when Nick beat him all the sudden u changed ur tuned and decided Marius Zaromskis wasn't a good fighter :142smilie

I never said Marius Zaromskis would kill Nick but I though he had a good shot at winning. Marius Zaromskis was one of the few fighters that Nick has fought that was decent. Good win for Nick for beating him.

Bottom line is that as a fan I would much rather see Diaz fight then I would GSP. I can remember when I first saw GSP and was thinking how awesome he was going to be and he was and is. But then he lost to Serra and things changed. It would be like Jones losing his next fight and because of it he decided to fight safe and never do the things that made him dynamic. I would love to see GSP let loose. Laying on a good striker and jabbing a good wrestler is just not entertaining to me.

Okay KIck u will like this post. I think GSP gets a raw deal with some of the things said about him. I love watching his fights. When he is on top he works. I love the speed of his takedowns and i love his gameplans. Everyone wants him to finish guys but it isn't like he is fighting stiffs. As Lay says tho i much rather watch Diaz fight. As for them fighting. GSP is way to athletic for Diaz but Diaz all around game, granite chin, and cardio will give him a shot unlike others who come in one deminsional. Shields is to one demisional. Shields last fights he almost lost to Miller and Hendo almost had him out in the first 30 seconds until his injuries exposed him that fight. The strenght of Hendo his last fight and the strength against Shields was notably different. I do have to hand it to Shield tho. He gassed his last fight and still won over a stupid fighter.

I think one of the big problems with GSP is that's he's just that much better than his opponents and he really doesn't have a weakness. With Anderson we know that wrestlers will put him in bad spots. With Fedor it was size because he's small for his class. GSP just doesn't have any spots that guys can go after and if they are better than him at something it's not enough of a difference to take advantage of.

it`s also the fact that it`s not a super strong list of challengers at 170..as of late....

i like gsp`s wins earlier in his career...wins over a prime sherk and parisyan....hieron/jason miller....those wins impress me more than a blown up penn, one dimensional guys like alves and fitch .... serra and a used up hughes several times each.....

i`d like to see gsp fight a tough 185`er at a catch weight and see if he can do what penn and silva did...

he needs a career defining fight to cap things off...a fight where everyone says,"whoa!"...

didn`t hurt silva to destroy griffin...and penn`s legend hasn`t suffered...people get that he was fighting out of his natural weight class vs gsp and hughes..........
