I'm just saying, you originally justified Syracuse kicking a field goal down 27 with 2 something left, to wv kicking one with 10 minutes left. 2 me they are nowhere near synonymous situations. W Virginia was simply not piling on by not scoring another touchdown. They rushed for nearly 500 yards, odds are they probably would have pick up the first and scored again.

Exactly, not only is it 4th and 17 but if you have a drive and your down by that much what is 7 going to do for you? Nothing, so why not get some points to reward your guys for a long drive. Instead of a good drive coming up with 0 points they get a good drive and a score.

Can you political forum guys keep your weak conspiracies over there. Sponge how many times do i have to point out your one of the most worthless posters on here

does anyone know how i can keep this asshole out of my threads? Is there an ignore button available here?

When the Jags beat the Jets 41-0 on Sunday Del Rio had his team kick a field goal with less than 2:00 to go. I posted on that and there were only a couple of replies, and I think more people actually agreed with Del Rio than me. How is this any worse? Actually, I don't have a problem with a coach kicking a field goal down by 27 no matter what the situation is. Up 38 with less than 2 to go... that's a different story.

If i recall the over and under on that game was 38. Maybe that is why he kicked it. 38 push 41 public loses.

I think kicking the field goal here isn't bad at all.
it was 4th and forever. you keep saying what good does a field goal do you? well, i respond with what good does a touchdown do you? the game is still way over in the w/l column.

no matter what you say, wvu bettors are upset and syracuse bettors are happy. perhaps if wvu didn't walk through the first half then things would be different. wvu was clearly the better team.

as for the original post, you can't make a case for the guy running in overtime instead of kicking a field goal because every coach in college football would do that. they hate to let kickers decide things. he wasn't worried about the -4.5 he was worried about winning

gl

with a touchdown you still have a very very small shot. A fgoal u have no shot. You just told your team "we quit" instead of "hey lets try an onside kick and see what happens kids"

I don't care if the field goal kicker is from Oz. That Syracuse team needs practice getting in the end zone. That was all the game was at that point was practice. And they should have practiced an onsides kick too.

LmAO Stevie. They need a lot of practice especially on side kicks

This kinda shit is

This kinda shit is

exactly why 80% of my plays in football are teasers!!

Played 4 teasers today and won em all.
Played only 1 str up play Rice +1.75..also a winner.

Even Parlayed The Tigers down to -120 with some cinch NCAA teams.
Ya wanna hi 70 80% winners you better forget about doing it playing games str up.

actually the 1 teaser left depends on Bears and Denver winning tom and Monday...any one worried about those ????

Not sure what i'm being

Not sure what i'm being

aligned here with Spongie..................the 15 Billion yeah Halliburton has it...don't know that i ever commented on that..............conspiracy theories in sports ??????????????? i'm sure there are some i can tell u about 4 that i was privy to in my lifetime and 1 that i watched on an odds board.

# 1 My female cousin at one time was dating and NBA ref. I was told that the Lakers would cover ag the the Milw Bucks...............they did and he helped it happen.

#2 Back when i used to hang around the local made men one of the gentlemen that ran a big $$ Poker game told me to bet ag the Steelers in a game ..........that they had got to Bradshaw.
WEll the game came down to if the Steelers score a TD they cover..if they kick a FG the dont.
In the last few seconds of the game with a straight shot to run the ball in for a TD Bradshaw just falls down...he did not trip... he just fell down...not one player touched him....we had the whole thing on Video tape and played it over and over again as a testament to the power of a certain group of Folks.

The other two involve tips at Race tracks and i wont bore u with the details.

If there is anything funny about any sporting event it is usaully reflected in the betting line moving...but from what i have heard these days they hide the betting and the the plays are in Parlays or Teasers..or in Horseracing in Quinellas and Exactas not as much reflected on the tote board.

The tote board deal was when that Arizona State basketball game went from -20 to -6 or some such trend and that player was found to be feeding $20,000 bets. Sure some of u rem the incident. I just happened to be watching the drop and cashed in fer a few Bob.

I was not saying that i play teasers because i believe in conspiracy theories....just to protect myself from the oddities that happen and the way the ball may bounce.

Sponge, im not that good of a handicapper, unlike you seem to think you are. If i didnt want you to post anymore I would just ignore you, but instead I find your posts absolutely laughable(literally)

if you want you can watch what picks i make every week and when i get to 20 then you can add up your 20 and if you like you can leave if you dont beat me, but i have yet to see you post but 1 game in the ncaa thread(where i hang out mostly) so i could only assume that you are posting all these winners someplace else. And finally, I am not going to stop posting here because some newbie blowhard cant take criticism, even if i do lose over the 20 games.

You see me criticizing other new posters? Nope. You see me criticizing winners? Nope. If your posting winners great, keep em coming. But i only see political nonsense on your end and when you bring it to the football forum i think someone should say something

Gotcha bro. i could post twenty in a row and you still would play your same childish games. You call my political stuff nonsense? If your naive its not my fault. You say your not a good handicapper then i applaud that because your being honest but don't jump in every thread of mind and try to tell people how ridiculous i am. Stop about the political stuff because every thread i post in you find a way to try to insult me. You know what bud. You and me fighting isn't gonna get us anywhere. I'll leave my mark here and someday you will appreciate it.

You know reading all these made me had to post one of the few times A crooked coach covered the spread. Remember it well to this day cause I was on the wrong end of the stick.

1996
Virginia (-25) Vs. Duke

Outcome:
Virginia 27 Duke 3

Bullsh*t:
Duke kicked their lone field goal right at the end of the game.

Of course they may have been avoiding the shut out (whatever) but if you woulda only saw the smiles for the first and only time on the duke coaching staffs faces at the end of the game.

I remember them even being asked about it and the reply was to the extent of "At least we beat somebody"

Still get a stinger to this day when i think about it. now that you guys brought this thread up I may have to go back to rehab for this.
