But you have already said you call her Hispanic,
do you call her by her name example: Lupe the Hispanic?

when I am telling someone else about her I refer to her as hispanic  you know what I mean...

Thanks divorce sucks worse than I ever thought possible, I am glad not to deal with the ex-wife much anymore as she has moved on with another guy...I take things to extreme here sometimes to see reactions from others that take me so seriously. Most of these issues I couldn't care less about, I am about freedom, to each his own. I am friends on facebook with about 25-30 people from here and on there I can't be as opinionated as I am on here because my mom, dad, co-workers, childhood friends, former co-workers, etc...here is my outlet to tell it like I see it with no sugar coating or worry about hurting someones feelings and hopefully making you people laugh

I think Hedgehog is generally ok; he just tells way too much personal stuff (whether true/alter ego whatever), and it gets him in trouble and the object of ridicule here.

Come on guys, give Hedge a break. He's not perfect, nor are any of us either. There is no reason to bash the guy like some of you are doing.

I just like to talk, I was very sheltered growing up so right now is fun time for me, I can do as I please, when I do not have my kids...getting a divorce at 35 years old has opened my eyes to a whole new world...

So you are 35 years old right now, and as you have stated you were very sheltered. I am going to be pushing the envelope here on one of my #1 rules, since all of my rules are #1. Bringing up family, sorry, but I will tread lightly.

When did you leave the nest HH?

And when you left the nest, were you still greatly influenced by your parents on social issues?

Based on this current conversation and your feeble attempt to be PC, which IMO has backfired on you, it seems to me that your parents may have had or still has a negatve stereotype of any group of people who speak Spanish, Portuguese or any Dialect of this language. Which has obviously has been passed down to you.

When and where did you go to college? Did you graduate and what is your Major?

What type of jobs have you had before you started your career?

How much interaction, while you were at your life forming ages, 15 to 25... did you have with people of different lifestyles, cultures, countries....?

I realize that not everyone was in the Military and had social interaction in the melting pot, but in the 'Burbs of Houston, I would think that there is a fairly good mixture of people to interact with?

Or.... was it because of the way you raised....

I'm not Seal Clubbing you here....

Just trying to figure out who you are and why it is the way you think.

I shoot fire arms with the Pink Pistols, I have famil, neighbors, business associates, friends, formers Army Buddies who are gay. They are happy, but one other thing they have in common is the bullshit they had to put up with as a teen. putting up with hostile work places, some who have families who hve told them to shove off.

One thing you never consider in the back of your brain bucket.

How will you react if one of your children are Gay?

That will put a whole new spin and a differen perspective on this issue for you.

Think before you run your mouth and post, think twice if it's something of a Hot Button Issue such as this !

What should I call her race? Latina, Hispanic  Just curious

I never even think about it

You think about it plenty. Every time you talk about her you bring up her race.

What's wrong with Mexican, if that's what she is?

Better yet, why put her into a category at all?

You think it's derogatory because you don't like Mexicans.

Just a thought. :toast:

Yes, I have a college degree, business admin...left the house for college at 20, held two jobs in my life, one working for my dad through college and the one I have now I have had for 14 years...I never rebelled against my parents for fear of letting them down...we talked politics daily growing up, my mom is somewhat liberal socially dad is not, both fiscally very conservative, not religious at all...

I didn't know any gay people until I got to Houston or many minorities

KOD,

In the CORPS the DI's can still train and instruct boots this way. When I went thru Army Basic Training, I was trained this way. Now in the Army, it has been pussified, too much feeling, COED BOOT CAMP ! Female Drills ! That's fine for the female soldiers, kep them away from me !

In Specialty Schools in the Army it is still just as hardcore because they don't want flat dicks and cry babies.
