Blount was certainly in the wrong for sucker-punching the guy, but when you pop your mouth off in a heated situation you should probably be prepared for some action.

(is there not another thread on this, yet? - didn't see it)

You are exactly right. Check the other thread. If you want to talk smack, expect the other party to be somewhat pissed off........Duh:rolleyes:

Maybe I wasn't clear with my point. If you are going to talk shit to someone, you may want to keep yourself prepared for some retaliation. He was being a smartass, and it bit him.

That kid from BSU thought he was going to be funny and tell all his buddies after the game how he called Blount out. Well, good news for him is that he doesn't have to waste his time telling the story because the whole world has seen him getting laid out after running his mouth.

Blount has received the proper punishment at this point.

You explained yourself just fine, dawgball. I just don't see the justification for the pop in the chops????

If I walk up to you and run my jibs at you about something......and you run YOUR yap back at me, isn't THAT fair play?

WTF gives me the right to be so "hurt" by your actions now, that I decide to crack you????

Guys "wolf" all the time in sports, and you and I both know this. To "expect" to get popped in the mouth over it is ridiculous, IMO.

I'm in no way defending his actions. What I am saying that if you are going to pop off, you might want to be prepared for the possibility of someone taking it to the next level.

He fully expected to run his mouth then talk it up to his boys how he dissed on Blount and he didn't do shit. Well, guess what: he did something, and ol' boy wasn't prepared.

My guess is that he doesn't do it again.

I'm sorry. I still see it as a chicken shit, "take my ball and go home" move.

I'm sure the other guy did fully expect to run his mouth and move on.......he earned that right! He didn't earn the right to be punched in the face, by virtue of the fact that this wasn't outside a bar, or out in a dark alley.

Let me ask you this: Why wasn't Blount arrested? He assaulted that other guy, clear and simple. Shouldn't he have "fully expected" to be arrested?

^^^^^^ THIS!!! Getting "hit" during the game is one thing, whether legal or illegal by the rules of football, but he jacked the guy up after the game was over and *that* certainly wasn't, nor should it have been, expected. He should be charged with battery.

I think if the world was full of guys who punched people in the face for talking shit, the internet would be a better place!!!
Blount got off with a wrist slap IMO, now iM ALL FOR DECKING SOMEONE but that school has the duty of expelling that clown, he has earned a right to a free education through his football skills, now he should be made to pay for it by acting senseless. If atheletes really got penalized for stupid acts like we all should and do, they wouldnt do the things they do at times. The jerk got what he deserved for rubbing shit in someones face by getting crushed. I think Blount should b charged and also be removed from scholarship

At least we agree on something.

I stated while I saw it the first time that I didn't understand why they were not slapping cuffs on him once the altercation with the fans occurred and he still continued to throw his tantrum. I see no reason why he was not arrested for that.

To add: I think we all know there will be a lawsuit from someone against somebody else.

I think the kid from BSU might have a tough way of winning a suit against him because he slapped him on the shoulder when taunting.

So Cal
If every player in football, college or pro, was punched for woofing, there wouldn't be enough players on the field at the end of the game. Blount's actions after the punch were just as reprehensible. What if his coaches couldn't have prevented him from going in to the stands? I think his tirade after the punch was as egregious as the punch itself.

I still don't see how anyone is reading anything in my statement defending Blount's actions.

How can they not?

It's like when someone starts a sentence with, "No offence, but......"

You know that you are about to take offence at what they are going to say, and they know they are going to offend you.

By your reply, you think it's a natural response to a "taunt" to punch someone in the face.

Most of us don't feel that way.

"the bunker"
whassup playaz?!...lol

the way to stop it cold would be to prosecute the prick...

lord,in most states you can barely defend your own property physically without getting prosecuted yourself...

but, because of the spoken word...a little harmless woofing,a kid can get cold cocked and knocked senseless by another kid?..and he walks?.......

...we should be glad they didn`t just put him in timeout(he has the mentality of a 1st grader)...a full scholarship and a chance at the nfl...and he can`t handle it...

luckily it was caught on video...i`d bet we haven`t heard the last of blount...guys like him will continue to step in it and track it all over the carpet...it`s his nature...
