Tate over-rated? Nope, just hurt all year and a coaching staff that has NO confidence in the two QBs behind him.

Iahawk06--

where'd you hear that Christensen was getting the start tomarrow? You will see Manson get the start, he will play no more than two series and then give way to Jake and we will get to see him toss 3-4 INTs in his 8 attempts....:mj07:

U gonna be at the game? Stop by our tailgate-we are at Frank's E-Z park at the top of Myrtle Ave. U get to the church, u went too far....

Seriously, gonna be a BORING game tomarrow watching Iowa run, run and then run some more. And then when NIU has the ball, we get to watch the little dude run, run and run some more...
Take N Illinois plus the points and the under and thank me later....:D

Hawkeye--

He broke his left(non-throwing) hand on a 4th quarter tackle in the Michigan game.

Had a great time in Ann Arbor last weekend; except for the final score it was a blast. 3 here then the closer in Minny...

hey redsfan ..no i won't be able to make it tomarrow.. i will be at the Wisconsin game though in two weeks!

About Jake I heard Dolph said on KXNO this morning that from being at practices two nights this week, he feels that Jake will get the nod.

He probably knows for sure but made it sound like it was more of his way of reading between the lines.

Now that Tate is out....what's this game going to be like? What's everyone's take in this one now? I like the points personally.....even with Tate in there I liked the points. I see Iowa's defense giving up some points as I don't see them being a totally dominant defense this season so far....With the new QB I see run, run, run and N.ILL has a decent rush defense only giving up just above 100 yds a game.....N.ILL went to Ohio State earlier getting +17 and they lost by 20+, so Big 10 schools have not faired well to them. Really hoping that trend changes here.......

Its actually gonna be a no play for me , but I guess if I was gonna play the game probley take the under with all the running. Just not sure how Iowa will respond here, but history tells us we usually do pretty well at home against the lesser oppoinits thats why i wouldn't recommend a play on Northern Illinios. This is the beggining of 3 in a row at home for the Hawks and a trip to Kinnick North, against the Golphers to end the season. 9-3 is still what this team has to shoot for and a possible trip to florida in jan. Also it seems like everyone and there brother is on Northern Ill and with Tate hurt and everything the line only dropped a half pt.

Ya...that makes sense about the line movement which does concern me. I actually wish Tate was playing so no distractions were involved, but I just don't see N.ILL being a pushover team. They're in the atleast top 2 in the MAC and are well coached....N.ILL defensive play will be the "make" or "break" for them in this game....With the new QB for IA I just can't see them scoring more than 30 and I can see N.ILL scoring atleast 14....N.ILL got down BIG to Ohio St. early in the 1st quarter 21-0 right off the bat which set the tone for that game and I'm sure that will be fresh in their heads in this second Big 10 road match....
