Just my opinion fwiw (aparently not much)
I am not a fan of either team (or any other for that matter)

still think Ga . is rated too high
but might be 9 or 10.

had money on Tn vs Ark

Watched th game and they showed no signs of coming together
& were lucky to get a win over Ark...Clausen was not very good

Team with a lot of tallent on th down slide vs an overrated Ga team
Ga might step up again....but maybe not....NO PLAY...

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee quarterback Casey Clausen's availability for Saturday's SEC showdown against Georgia is in serious doubt after a hairline fracture was discovered in his left collarbone.

Nashville newspaper The Tennessean based its story in Wednesday's editions on sources with knowledge of the situation.

Clausen suffered the injury last week in the Vols' 41-38, six-overtime victory over Arkansas. According to the Tennessean, Tennessee officials described the injury only as a sore shoulder, but X-rays taken after the game confirmed the damage to the collarbone.

Clausen did not practice Tuesday, the second straight day he's sat out practice. The Tennessean said Clausen acknowledged that his shoulder was too sore to even throw a pass, but Clausen said he hasn't given up hope of at least trying to play against No. 6 Georgia (5-0).

Tennessee is ranked ninth in the ESPN/USA today coaches' poll, 10th in AP's media poll.

"There are definitely opinions out there, but I'm going to have a say in the final decision," Clausen told the newspaper. "I am not going to be stupid about it. I have to be smart. People around here have known me for three years and know what I'm about, but I'll be smart."

C.J. Leak again received most of the first-team work at quarterback yesterday, while freshman James Banks also got some repetitions. Kelley Washington threw some passes during the early part of practice and could get even more work at quarterback today.

How can you not see the value in this game. I obviously am a fan after going there for college, but Ga is pumped up having a 5-0 record for the first time in twenty something years. Greene is in good shape and Gibson has been making great receptions. Musa Smith is running well and overall things look like they are starting to click for the Dogs. Tenn on the other hand is comming out of a close call with ark, a loss to the gators, and their starting qb is out. Morale can't be high in that locker room. I think Ga was overrated in the beginning of the season but now they are starting to prove themselves and Tenn is just another way for them to do it. At sanford stadium, the dawgs have the crowd with them. I think it will be a good game but only good in the sense that Ga beats the vols with an easy win. I am going big on Ga -3 (got it this morning, now at -3.5 and going up) and also really like Hawaii at
-9.5.

Good luck
Gooooo Dawgs Sic Em!!!!!!!!!!!:thefinger

Here are a few stats that might help

Tenn is 9th in the SEC and 74th nationally in rushing at 136 yards per game.
In 5 games, Tenn has only 4 rushing plays of over 4 yards. Two were against Wyoming and one was against Middle Tenn st. (both really tough teams right?)
Tenn scored only 13 points on Fla and only 17 points in regulation on Ark last weekend.
Tenn's best big play running back is out since the Fla game.
(Jabari Davis is in for Houston but isn't making big plays)
Tenn's Clausen is injured.

Ga's defense is no. 2 in SEC and 11th nationally in stopping the run. (3rd in SEC in Total Defense)

The only real threat to Ga this weekend is Tenn receiver Kelly Washington. He might see some action at qb against the dogs this weekend, either way he is a big shot and Ga has to keep him contained.

Tenn is in trouble and Ga is going to kick some ass!
28 - 10

GA FANS?

GA FANS?

I HAVE DAGWS +1.5

but i was wondering, how is the Bulldog concentration after their first ever win in Bama, are they gonna have trouble bouncing back and concentrating, are they getting too many glad hands ... can someone find an article and maybe cut and paste from HC perspective ... just curious, b/c if GA is focused, I think they have great chance to win by 10 ... but coming back afer such an emotional win, is never easy ... Ive watched Tenn a few times this year and have as yet seen them play well ... all signs pt. to Ga. but im not so certain ... the game that keeps jarring me is the '98 game in between the hedges, where GA was (hauntingly) a 3 pt fave and Tenn came in a kicked their ass 22-3, thanx Quincy--everyone and their sis was on Bulldogs that day too ... I know that was 4 years ago, but I bet Dogs and was extrememly disappointed how they didnt even compete ... please comment, this isnt a put down at all of GA., just very curious about the fans take on their mindset ...

thanx, pt1gard

Still not playing this one (YET)...as far as getting "UP "
for it...... th whole state of Ga. has no Problem ......

NO one has any use for "Porky Pig" since he ran it up trying to get Manning th Trophy a few years back........

Think is why Woodson won it......

Any Dawg fan won't even allow his kids to watch Porky Pig Cartoons....even now!

He is as welome in Ga. as Mike Tyson at a N.O.W. meeting!

Remember though pt1 that Quincy was a puss, he was out a few games because he broke a nail and needed a manicure. Also Quincy had a bad habit of once down staying down. He would get pissy if the dogs were losing and then not try as hard. As for the game 4 years ago, this is a different team different season. The team 4 years ago didn't start out 5-0 infact no uga team in the past 20 something years has. So as a fan, I see differnt year, different team, SEC champs!:brows: The dawgs were happy about the win last weekend but still focused on the prize. Tenn is worried and they should be.

Why ask why...just to clear things up, manning wasn't padding his stats...the fact of the matter was that Georgia hadn't beat UT in nearly nine games and GA was blitzing late in the game when UT was winning big...if you watch it again, you can clearly see manning audible and check out of the run b/c your guys were showing blitz.

not intending to argue but as you said tn was up big and even the tn announcers were questioning why risk injury ..leaving him in..one of them is a personal friend..have followed the sec since johnny Majors playing days and fran tarkington @ Ga...
he wasn't in there handing off!!!

Manning has a devolopement called? "Thunder farms" about 10 miles from my family home...

I haven't read all the posts here, but the Vols are 'not' the way to go here. For some reason, Tenn just don't seem to have their 'usual ' edition this year. You have to remember, Tenn has a tremendous reputatiion (although the Dawgs do to), therefore they will never get much value from 'the man. For you die-hard Vol fans, wait til baseketball season, for you will rarely get any value during football season! fwiw

MW, I think they're are referring to winning in Tuscaloosa. Until this weekend, the bulldogs were 0-6 in T'Town:

1904 5-16
1958 0-12
1964 3-31
1977 10-18
1991 0-10
1994 28-29

Georgia's victories in Alabama prior to this year had been in Birmingham or Montgomery.
