kickserv,

kickserv,

what's your take on Mantilla/Calleri? Granted, Calleri has beaten some good players in this tournament to get to the semi finals, but I think Mantilla will win today.

staying away from that match.....to tough to call......but if I had a gun to my head I'd take Mantilla at -150 .....but as I said.....this one could go either way.....I'd stay away..........good luck whatever you decide:)

Will be back by 3am EST with the women's picks........but here are the men:

Scale 100-500

Arthurs beat Kucera $2.38 *300

Federer beat Ljubicic $1.54 *475

Novak beat Robredo $1.50 *800

Novak to win in straight sets $2.15 *250

Arthurs to win tourney $4.25 *150

Novak to win tourney $3.35 *150

ok...........here we go again..........another huge play :com:

this Novak match looks just amazing......and I am prepared to put a huge bet on Novak......yes if he loses my profits for the year will take a huge hit..........but for those of you who follow my plays you know that my max plays do very well (I know don't say it...Mirnyi ) So for the second time this year I will deviate from my own scale and pound I mean absolutley pound this match:firing: :firing:

here's why:

Novak has drilled Robredo last two times they played (both last year) Robredo hasn't won a set off Novak.....Novak's game matches Robredo's perfectly.....it's kind of like a three point contest between Shack and MJ......yep both good players...but who would ya take in a 3 point contest......Shack or MJ?? see what I mean.........the match-up totally favours Novak......he's just way to consistent for Rebredo.........and past results prove this......in fact last time they played.......Novak just destroyed him........the only reason why the line is $1.50 is because Rebredo has had some good wins this tourney......but trust me......he falls to my man Jiridance2

as for Federer...........he's won 13 of last 14 matches he's played......what more can I say......and he's got the revenge factor.....Ljubicic beat him last two times they played (well Federer did beat him last time but Ljubicic retired...)....no way Federer loses to Ljubicic now......he's on fire.......he should cruise:shade:

remember.......check back later for women's plays.......some real good value in one female match........just waiting to see a couple more lines.....but I will tell ya this........Shinobu Asagoe looks like a dam good pick.........

but remember..........POUND JIRI NOVAK:look:

I was waiting for your plays, and am I glad to see you on NOVAK!!! Because that is the only tennis play for me on Saturday and I too am pounding it.

Here's what both players had to say after their matches today:

NOVAK: I?m always playing in Dubai very well, I?ve had so many good results here almost every year I have been coming here, especially in doubles. One time I was in the final and one time I won. (1996 - F, 2000 - W) In the singles I?ve reached the third semifinal, so this is exciting for me. I will be fighting to reach my first final.
I think he (Schalken) wasn?t playing nice tennis because the conditions were bad with the sunshine and it was so windy. The wind was moving around the whole centre court, so we hit so many time son the frame and so many bad balls. Sjeng was making mistakes from the baseline because I don?t think he likes that wind. I was just trying to hold my serve. I was very lucky to get the break in the first game, so I just had the confidence, held my serve.

ROBREDO: We were practicing together for five years from when I was 14. I know he can play very well.
(On his slow start to the season) I think that in the pre-season, I had one month without playing because I had problems with my back and I couldn?t prepare very well for Australia. And then I wasn?t playing my best in Australia. When I came home, I practiced very hard in Barcelona. I lost to Mirnyi 76 in the third, with a lot of chances, then last week against Krajicek at home. Here finally, the score is alright and I have a lot more confidence after beating Bjorkman, Safin and now Feliciano. For the moment I am playing great and I hope to continue like this for the rest of the season.
Novak is a great player and he always beats me. I?m going to try my best though.

Let's go NOVAK!!!!!!
:firing: :director: :bigun: :bigun:

kickserv,

kickserv,

Yeah, that is pretty odd. Robredo says, "Novak always beats me. I'm going to try my best though." It doesn't sound like this guy's too pumped up at facing Novak again. Novak on the other hand says, " I will be fighting to reach my first final (this season)". Novak is the right side my friend. Let's just hope he doesn't fukk us in the ass today. :D

as of 313am EST the odds for Novak at madjack sponsors are as follows:

WSEX -240 ($1.42)
Pinnacle -255 ($1.39)
Gibralter -240 ($1.42)
Olympic -300 ($1.33)
Infinity -245 ($1.41)

guess my -200 ($1.50) looks pretty good...........but I might be imagining things........but maybe these books are actually reading the tennis thread....because man oh man.........never seen this kind of line movement in tennis..........that Mirnyi match a couple days agao was crazy +125 to -115 in 30 minutes

guess as soon as I post my picks.......get on the bets early......but as I said.....this is rare......the line usually doesn't move......can't figure out why my big plays have experianced crazy line movement......if anyone knows.....let me know??

anyway.......who cares.........go Jiri go:D

You sure you didn't shortchange yourself on the Shaughnessy line? I found this # at Acropolis:

Meghann Shaughnessy vs Kim Clijsters Meghann Shaughnessy +300

That would equate to 4.00 on your decimal line equation.

GL, man. You're really doing well.

and speaking of which........I'd love to know why during this week the tennis lines on some matches have been all over the place....sure somebody out there has an explanation.......although it's fine with me......I have always been getting on the good side.......up until the Meghann Shaughnessy match that is:)

although....who knows.......by match time maybe she'll be at +105:D

(and it's not just olympic with the line movement.....although they have been the most active)
