GAGLIARDI $1.75 V KOUKALOVA (2 UNITS)
Gagliardi was unseeded here last yr but made the semis after beating Harkleroad and reached the 2nd rd of the Aus Open before losing to Myskina. Continued decent early season form with wins over Panova and Black at Indian Wells in March and made the semis at Estoril in April. Finished the season strongly with another semi appearance at Tashkent. She prefers the hard courts while Koukalova is more of a clay-courter who?s biggest win last year was over an injured Seles at the Aus Open.
GARBIN $2.30 V GRANVILLE (1 UNIT)
Garbin was another good early starter last season, beating Tanasugarn at the Gold Coast and winning the doubles title in Canberra before retiring injured against Suarez in the 2nd rd at the Aus Open in a busy January. Also recorded a good win over Dokic in Bali in September. Granville came through the qf last year here before losing to Gagliardi and is a little-overpriced for my liking.

RUANO PASCAL $1.30 V PERRY (3 UNITS)
