Stanley:

I don't know squat re: tennis, but couple comments.

1) I know Lapentti was a huge dog, but why go vs Ferrero when he's 40-8 on clay L2 yrs?

2) Also, did you lose that Laprentti prop (based on 12-7)?

GL, Stan. Catch ya later. Lookin forward to your late round plays.

Chucky,

Ferrero's record this year is even better: 20-1
eek.gif

I didn't think Lapentti would win, hence I played the +3.5 games prop rather than the win outright. Lapentti showed good form last week when he reached the semi-final in Rome - he actually lost to Ferrero which took their head-to-head record on clay to 1-1 - and I thought he would push him hard. By all accounts he did, but Ferrero convered the important points by attacking play, while Lapentti didn't. The score was 4-6 3-6 so Ferrero won by 5 games and the prop lost.

Will look at tomorrow's games within next hour. Have today's golf to look through. At least I recouped my tennis losses there

tHX, Stan.

I'd guess you're already on top of this stuff, but here are a few tidbits that may or may not help you at all.

A little research I did:
2000-01 records on clay b4 this tourney:
Kuerten 48-7
Ferrero 38-8
Agassi 4-5 (he's gone...still listed at 8-1 for French...this stat would make him look like a longshot w/ little chance)
Pavel 15-12
N.Kiefer 5-7
Safin 26-9
S.Bruguera 28-25
Rusedski 1-4

GL, dude. Catch ya later.

Re: tomorrow. Ferrero looks good for the tournament but can find -400 at best against Johansson and there's no value there. Would lean toward Santoro over Costa, though would need more than +103 currently available and like the big price on Squillari over Hewitt. Might look at the games props in the morning for a play on that match rather than the outright win. Back in the morning

Scalp out there if you want it:

Carib: Costa(-153)
Oly: Santoro(+160)...think I'm gonna go heavier on solid Santoro #.

Also, Carib has Squillari(+205). Clay stats 2000-01: Squill 37-22; Hewitt 14-7. 2-1 looks good to me, but what do I know?

First time actually. Checked them out only because of attractive price listed at Tip-EX. I remember Hartley touting them a lot over at ** and given the Australian licence I can forgive their peculiar setup, ie. being a Swedish company.

Still, when their offering +100 on Ferrero to win 2-0 and Stan James are offering -225, it's too good an opportunity to miss

Unitedbet weird, as non-one in Australia seems to know anything about them - they ever answered email Stan?

Also it appears their servers etc. are located in Sweden - so might just be one person here, if that.

Saturday's results:

Ferrero-Costa 6-1 6-2
frown.gif

Hewitt-Portas 6-3 5-7 2-6
frown.gif

Saturday's total: 0-2 and -4.50 units

Tomorrow's final should be a fairly straightforward win for Ferrero - he did beat Portas 6-3 6-1 on clay at the Estoril Open earlier this year. But -400 is not very attractive, even if realistic, and if stories of Ferrero's groin injury are true (wasn't apparent today

) then too much of a risk. Awful week ... will get it back next week

Just finishing watching the final. What an upset Portas beating Ferrero in five sets after trailing 2 sets to 1 and 3-0.

Disappointing week after starting up 3 units after my first day. Hopefully can turn it around before the French open begins.

Total for Week: 4-8 -3.32 units
