Was a bad line to begin... I put up a thread stating this line was off. However, I checked my power ratings and the line made sense.

I still think the oddsmakers are underestimating this Red Raider squad that can play ball and I expect they win this game SU. Not shocked by the line move at all, but Texas backers have to love it.

I completely agree D!! I think Tech wins this game SU and in a blowout. Texas pass defense is horrible (I think 112) and this is the first road test for this squad. People who aren't from Texas or Oklahoma know that the red river shootout is not a neutral field. There are more Texas grads in Dallas than in any other city in the world. Grads of Texas go to Dallas, A&M go to Houston and Oklahoma well who cares! Also, Tech plays completely different at home than away. Although the Neb. game causes some concern. However, I think Neb. had revenge on their mind after last years lost when tech threw up 70 on them at home. I think Tech has been waiting for this game all season and I see the tech defense flying all over the field making tackles and causing havic on McCoy. Let's hope I am right because I have a small fortune on this game when the line was at +6.

No way Tech blows out Texas are you kidding me? WHo has Tech beat Kansas wow. Texas has beat OU, Miss and Ok St. Texas is superior on both sides of the ball. Should be a good game but if one team is going to get blown out it will definitely be Tech.

Okay...maybe I got a little excited there but I do think Tech wins this game. I also agree that Tech hasn't played anyone good all year but I think that Tech gets up for this game and wins.

Defensive stats are SO stacked by where you play that they are meaningless for games like this. ALL of the leading Big WAC teams are ranked lowly in Passing D - Texas is 111, Texas Texch is 99, Oklahoma State is 92, Oklahoma is 92, and so on. Of course they are ranked low - have you seen the offenses they have played? I don't think any info can be gleaned from this for a conference game. The same goes for rushing D in the SEC where USC, Miss St, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida and UT all show up in the top 20 nationally.

just like an aggy. are you saying that Texas has an unfair advantage because the game is played in Dallas for the Red River Rivalry?

ever seen pictures of the stadium during the game where it shows one half red and the other orange? that's because the ticket sales are divided equally with a 50-50 split.

unless you're referring to the soil they play on.

To all of the detractors bagging on Texas' D. Have you taken a look at what Tech's pass D is rated nationally? It's not good I can promise you that. This is going to be a shootout and I see Texas pulling away late due to having the better athletes, better conditioning and better coaching. Texas has also historically handled Tech very well and has won seven out of the last ten games if I'm not mistaken.

Texas has handled Tech lately and rather easily most of the years. I'll agree with the better athletes but how we compare conditioning is impossible. Texas has more people to play so I would say if anything it's because they're deeper so conditioning won't be as much of an issue late. And coaching, by no means is Mack(sorry forgot the K) a better coach than Leach. Leach is doing a lot with a lot less talent.

Not sure what defense people are watching when they look at Texas. OU had a big game vs. Texas because the off tackle run was getting them chunks of yards and it opened up the passing. Tech can't run like that. Texas will fall back into coverage and only rush 4 and sometimes 3 because the d-line is that good. Harrell will be looking around(see A&M game) to find someone open.

I have heard this every year that TT will beat Texas and yet they lose and lose bad.

Don't fall for FOOL'S GOLD.

TEXAS IS THE PLAY!!!!!!!!

when did coaching become a 1-man team? does Leach also coach the O-Line, D-Line, and Special teams players? our staff may be the best in the nation with the addition of Muschamp.

and while you're knocking Mack, he's 22-4 in his last 26 games against ranked opponents. keep trying to convince yourself though. :SIB

HMMM, at what point did I knock Mack? I simply stated that I Mack isn't better than Leach.(Not being a homer but I think Leach is a hell of a coach) so take it as you will. Muschamp is a GREAT D Coord but I think Leach does fairly well on the Offensive side. It's only my opinion but I've never been big on Williams, he's had a load of talent in there on the offensive side and I've always thought their offense should be more productive than it has been.

Just so you'll know, I think Texas is an awesome team. Never knocked anyone at all. I think you're use to people bashing Mack so you get a little defensive.

imo, the knock on Mack was when you declared Leach a better coach. Leach is a brilliant offensive mind but that's where the comparison ends.

i've seen him take his team completely out of games by making bone-headed decisions, particularly opting to go for it on 4th-and-whatever in his own territory. he's very gimmicky and not very successful at it either. he runs his team like a 14 year old kid on a Playstation.

and i don't need to defend Mack. his record speaks for itself. the bashing came at a time when OU had the better of us in the beginning of 2000. since 2004, he's the best big game coach in college football. period.

same exact line move in the texas/mizzou game and the bama/tennesse game-- the favorites won easily in both of those yet i don't think vegas will make the same mistake again

2 points here.

First point: Texas pass defense is indeed #110 and TT is #98 and they have not played anyone. Texas has played OU,Mizzou,,and Rice(Pass Off. #3,#4,and #9).
Texas is #2 in the nation in sacks. Saying Texas has a poor pass defense is the same reasoning that got OU bettors a loser so don't go to that card for picking TT here.

Second point: You are 100% right about it not being a neutral field. I have been to this game many times and it is 50/50 for distributed tix ,but once the scalpers are done then it is more like 55/45 for OU. I have NEVER been to this game and thought Texas had more fans in the stadium and just about any Texas or OU fan will say the same.
